In the morning, light rain fell and we spent our journey sleeping to overcome fatigue after a 16-hour train journey. We decided to leave early in the morning after considering a few things.

We arrived at the Tumpak Sewu parking area around 6:30 AM, with a car parking fee of Rp. 10,000,-. The entrance is located in a residential village, so we had to enter a narrower village road from the main road.

Around the parking area, there are toilet facilities and several stalls owned by locals, one of which is Pak Yanto’s stall who guided us to explore Tumpak Sewu waterfall. Pak Yanto also has an inn, so if you want to stay before visiting Tumpak Sewu waterfall, you can try that accommodation.

Before continuing, we had breakfast first at Pak Yanto’s stall, then cleaned ourselves and changed clothes. When traveling to Tumpak Sewu and descending to the bottom of the waterfall, it is recommended to bring spare clothes because it will definitely get wet.

If you depart from Probolinggo Regency, you need about 3 hours and 40 minutes to drive to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Meanwhile, if you come from Jember, the travel time is about 3 hours with a distance of about 114.7 km.

If you depart from Jember, you will pass through Rambupuji, Lumajang City, Pronojiwo District, and Sidomulyo Village. Or, if you choose an alternative route, you will pass through Candipuro District before arriving at Pronojiwo District.
