The East Coast of Canada is an emerging Speckle Park market, equipped with salt of the earth people who know good cattle. Similar to Ontario, the focus is and will be quality over quantity because of restricted land base and a high cost of production/head.
When we started in Speckle Park 12 years ago, you could count the number of Speckle Park breeders in Ontario on one hand and today we have over 65. Underhill SPECS started the 1st Speckle Park production sale in Ontario in 2012, with the goal of giving new and existing Speckle Park breeders access to quality genetics.
The anticipated Headed East Speckle Park Pair Sale will represent our 20th breed production sale. You can show Speckle Park cattle, you can have meetings about Speckle Park cattle, but you must supply an emerging market with proven cows that know how to do their job and raise LBS of red meat. The 10 pairs selected for this sale are well proven through registered performance progeny and not only have a pay cheque at side but also in their belly for 2026. Proven 3-PACS, to set customers up for success.
The sale runs in conjunction with the CSPA AGM and a JR Show, that Underhill SPECS is proud to support and sponsor. We will offer trucking back through NB, QC and to Knills in Ontario for any cattle heading West. We would like to thank Balamore Farms Ltd., for offering their beautiful facility to host the JR Show and Sale. In addition, we honour the East Coast with two pros on the sale block, Andy Carter and Scott Young and we would like to thank them for their support.
We hope you like the cattle on offer; it wasn’t easy pulling them out of the heart of our herd but we are confident they will go to good homes where they can be populated to expand and better this great Speckle Park breed.
We always said, good cattle will always be worth $$ so breed in the top 20% and only populate off that percentile. We feel strongly these proven females fit that bill.
Cow longevity, the key Speckle Park breed advantage for maximum ROI.
See you on the beautiful East Coast of Canada!

A rare direct daughter of the great Codiak bred Colgan’s Chanel 22C, that does it on pasture and in the show ring. One of the easiest keeping, beautiful uddered cows we’ve been lucky to bred and develop in 12 years. To top it off, she has a show quality Jeremy bull calf at side and confirmed AI bred back to the old legend Uneeda Zapper 13Z.
