One great thing about Estes Park is the lively main street downtown, the great restaurants and incredible lodging options.

Either highway from the East ends up on Elkhorn Ave. where a wide-variety of shops line the road, starting at the intersection of U.S. 36 and U.S. 34.

Downtown parking can be difficult, so consider stopping at the parking garage on the southeast side of the intersection and take the free trolley downtown.

Walking from the garage to downtown is not a far hike by any means, in fact, just across the street is Kind Coffee, a local coffee roaster who has been on the river’s end since 2004, with Ed’s Cantina just a

Also close by are amazing galleries of artwork by painters, photographers, sculptures and woodworkers. Among these is Sticks N’ Stones. Owner, Chris Jeffries creates custom furniture out of twisted pines and aspen trees. He has also started working with Teak wood from Indonesia which is extra water-resistant and great for the outdoors.
