4 years ago, solving complex integrals and designing machines and robots, literature found little space to squeeze into my daily technical life. Neither was there the upsurge of infinite lit and art magazines and communities on social media nor existed sufficient platforms to support new writers and artists. When the world came to a standstill in 2020 owing to the pandemic, it was really wonderful to see the rise of manifold platforms to support those who were beginners in art and literature. I'm sure, like me, many of you finally found the time and solace to re-enliven your love and passion towards your art with the numerous opportunities coming our way. The pandemic has surely changed the lives of many- taking away countless lives, leaving thousands of others suffering, shattering dreams and breaking happy families. And presumably in this dark phase, we only held onto art for a glimmer of hope, for peace and for escapade. Art is solace, art is life, art is your healing elixir.

PHOSPHENES is an initiative to celebrate the beauty of art and literature globally by giving a platform to rising artists and literary stalwarts to express themselves and unleash their creativity in the form of art and literature. GAINES Global literary sensation Ka'Ron Gaines is the creator of "Woke Seed" and proud father of 6 beautiful children. INCARNATION OF LORD PARASHURAM

Lord Vishnu occupies an integral place in Indian mythology and religion. Lord Vishnu is known for his many incarnations.

Parshuram is believed to be his sixth incarnation.The story of Parshuram belongs to the Treta yug. The word Parshuram means Lord Ram with an axe. Lord Parshuram.

The legends associated with Parshuram: Parshuram was the son of Jamadagni and Renuka. Parshuram had received an axe from Lord Shiva after undertaking terrible reparation. Lord Shiva had also taught his methods of warfare and other skills. Born in a Brahmin family, he was unlike the other Brahmins. Instead, Parshuram carried traits of a Kshatriya. He carried a number of Khatriya traits, which included aggression, warfare and valour. Hence, he is called as a ‘Brahma-Kshatriya’ as he had skills from both the clan. One story associated with Parshuram is that once King Kartavirya Sahasrarjuna and his army forcibly tried to take away Parshuram’s father’s magical cow named Kamdhenu.

The cow named Kamdhenu: Being angry and revengeful, he killed the entire army and King Kartavirya. In revenge for their father’s death, the king's son killed Jamadagni in Parshuram’s absence. Furious and hurt by their act, he went ahead killing all the king’s sons and corrupt Haihaya Kings and warriors on the earth.He conducted the Ashvamedha sacrifice and gave away his entire holdings to the priests who conducted the ritual.

Parshuram destroying the kings: Parshuram is also known as immortal, who fought back the advancing ocean, which was going to hit the lands of Kokan and Malabar. The area between Maharashtra and Karnataka is known as ParshuramKshetra. Parshuram was known for his love for righteousness. He was known to be the Guru to Bhishma, Dronacharya and Karna. However, in advance, Parshuram knew that Karna would do injustice to Duryodhan in the Kruskshetra war. So as the duty of a good guru, he decides to teach him the Brahmashastra, but he also cursed Karna that the knowledge will not be any useful to him. According to the folklore, Parshuram gave the Sudharshan chakra to Lord Krishna. It is believed that the main motto of Vishnu’s sixth incarnation was to free the earth’s burden by assassinating the sinful and irreligious kings who neglected their duties. According to another legend, Parshuram once went to meet Lord Shiva. As he reached the door, Lord Ganesh confronted Parshuram and stopped him from meeting with Lord Shiva. Angry and furious, Parshuram threw the axe given by Lord Shiva on Ganesha. Knowing that the axe was given by Lord Shiva, Ganesha allowed the axe to cut away one of his tusks. Another story mentioned in the Kalki Purana believes that Parshuram still resides on the earth. It states that Parshuram will be the martial guru of Shri Kalki, who is going to be the last avatar of Lord Vishnu. He instructs Kalki to perform a long sacrament to please Lord Shiva. After being pleased Lord Shiva will bless Kalki with the celestial weaponry.

1) What inspired you to come up with the idea of starting Digital Golgappa?

Not many people know that in 2007-08 when the word 'Influencer' was obsolete, Instagram was not born, Orkut was slowly fading away and Facebook was the newest thing, then I started a page named Jagruk India, which over time became one of the most followed Facebook pages in India at that time.

Google till today acknowledges that this page was the first ever Influencer Page of India. I could not devote much time to this page and slowly it turned inactive, but what remained active in my head was the craze for using social media as a marketing tool . With the growth of Instagram in the recent years, Digital Golgappa started with the aim to help brands connect with the most apt Influencers for marketing purposes. Brands then had queries for establishing a strong Google presence too. And the rest is history.

2) What have you enjoyed most about starting your own company?

I would not say that starting own company is the best thing for everyone. For me, it is, because it gives me the freedom and control of what my company offers. The challenges are as plenty as you would expect but that is what I thrive on.

What I enjoy the most about Digital Golgappa is that I need to come up with new and unique ideas for our clients very regularly, whether it is for brand promotions or personal branding.

3) What was your biggest business success moment, the one you are most proud of and remember the most There have been many success moments in the journey of Digital Golgappa. It's tough to single out, but if I really have to pick one, I would say our brand promotion campaign for a popular cosmetic brand, where we provided game changing influencer and celebrity social media promotions to our client.

4) You are also a successful, bestselling author. How do you manage your business and passion for writing together?

My time management skills are not the perfect example for anyone. My readers will have to wait for sometime as my keen involvement in business, family, and sports does not give me as much time as I would need to write another book soon.

5) What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

In order to describe any scene, I first create a flowchart listing down the things that I need to write (sometimes even draw the layout) and then go on writing about them (not necessarily in order). Keeping the outline of the entire novel and rough sketch of characters work nicely for me.

1.Tell Us About Yourself?

My name is Elizabeth Akinniyi, Am from Nigeria in Africa. I live in Lagos with my family.

My family is a large one with six other older and younger siblings. Am a simple and private person (introvert) but I learnt to socialize with people but those who really know, knows I value my privacy a lot. I am a pranic healer, I use life energy or chi for healing of the mind, soul and body.

This healing method leading me to life coaching and counselling. I counsel depressed people which I find great comfort in, by helping shape other people lives after a rough patch. Also am the founder of Esffa trading Enterprises, as an entrepreneur I specialize in jewelry selling and it drives me with a passion within, actually I love jewelry a lot. Another passion of mine is writing, it’s like finding love. I love cooking, dancing, reading, most importantly travelling and making new friends, learning new things especially cuisines and clothing styles.

2. What is your work schedule like when you are writing?

I don’t really have a schedule or a specific day to write, I write as it comes that’s because I get most inspiration especially in the mornings when I finish my meditation and prayer, so I put my inspiration in my journal and get to work on it later in the day or at nights.

4. What Would You Say Is Your Interesting quirk?

Oh!! I would say practically I love a lot of quietness both in within and outside. So I do most of my writing in my room, I set my room to harness the quietness I need.I journal my inspiration in the morning after doing deep meditation, pranayama with few yoga stretches. This really inspires with fresh ideas and imagery.Thats why I love using pictures in my writings.At night, I put on the light and go through my journal and I start writing. I don’t take coffee or any special routine but just the calmness that l need and my best quotes are written at a time of calmness.

5. Do You Try To Be More Original To Deliver To Readers What They Want?

Yes, I believe a good story should be authentic and of value to the readers. Most times words are not enough when the reader does not see anything original or something to relate to in your writing, because believe or not readers sense when you don’t sound so authentic or original regardless of the words you authenticity is key, being yourself and delivering your story in the most practical way that’s your readers will enjoy

9. What Are The Common Traps For Aspiring Writers?

I will say using repetition of words, it is better to have a short quotes that people relate to than to have a multitude of words that they don’t understand. Also hastiness to publish and get recognition without much knowledge of writing skills makes the writing come crashing down at a time least expected.

10. What Is The First Book That Made You Cry? Am going to be sincere, Absolutely None. Not because I am not moved but I do prefer not to let my emotions take over me while reading, I just relax and enjoy that’s all.

6. Where Do You Get Your Information Or Ideas For Your Books From?

Let me see!!Most are mostly my imagination but I think it is based on life happenings on what I see, read, watch, hear but I just know it comes and I write it, it just flows like that and when it doesn’t I relax and later I just write.

8. What Kind Of Thing Do They Say? Well, I will say a few I remember by heart. There is a quote that was inspirational and I got a lot of moving remarks but one that really touched me I remembered he said “am really sad right now, after losing all but this quote I started smiling. Art Form Warli: Depicting the lifestyles of Tribal people of Varli -By Samata Dey Bose

Warli paintings are not just soothing to the eyes but also believed to be among the oldest style of folk art found in Indian history. The simplicity in its presentation makes it one of the most celebrated and loved folk art forms of India which these days making its presence felt in the International art industry slowly and steadily. But unfortunately, a handful of us know about the history of Warli Art and the artists who made this form of art so pleasing and attractive for art lovers Warli: An Artform: As already mentioned, that Warli is an ancient art form, I would like to add the fact that It is a typical form of tribal art having its origin in the Indian state of Maharashtra. This style of art is quite popular among the Indian tribal community, but the level of recognition it deserves still not achieved in the International market. But the good news is that although at a slow pace it is showing its presence in many overseas nations.

Why the name Warli, given to this art form?

When I was a student I got introduced to this folk/tribal art form, this was the question that poked my mind. What I got to know was very interesting and will share the same with you. Warli Folk painting got its name after the largest tribal community whose existence is still there in the northern Outskirts areas of Maharashtra and Border regions of Gujrat. The Varli Tribe is the one who introduced this art form.

What materials are used for Warli painting?

A mix of rice paste and water along with gum as white paint is used in Painting Warli. But what about the brush to paint? The interesting part is that here the brush is a bamboo stick which is perfectly chewed to serve the purpose of a brush. The paintings are perfect enough to make your heart and mind feel soothed and all thanks to the rustic beauty of the Warli art which narrates some story about the tribal life.

These Warli paintings are done on mud walls of the houses and mostly white color is used with some dots in yellow and red. The paintings depict the marriage god, Warli Tribal life, Folk imaginations are just to name a few. Geometric patterns and especially triangles and Circles are most seen in the paintings.

This is something interesting to share. Before also I mentioned that this art style is very simple and uses a geometric pattern. But how we draw the characters in the Warli paintings? There is a typical style of drawing men, women, child, old age woman, old age men, dancing woman, and man.

This art of Warli is 2 dimensional, having no restriction in regards to perspective or drawn character proportion. Circle and Triangle are 2 major geometric structures that are used in creating characters be it humans or animals/birds.

Nature plays an important role in Warli tribal lives and maintains a close harmony with this tribal group.

Once a group of artists visited India from Japan and got impressed by this tribal art form and ended up adopting one of the villages of Palgha, Ganjad. The Japanese artists vowed to revamp this art form and to provide required support for boosting the artists here in this Village.

Another Village is Dahanu is also in the process of boosting the artists to take forward this art form to a new level. Even common people are also showing interest to buy handicraft products with Warli art done on it for home decoration and other interior decoration. The government of India is also not lagging to provide needed support to Warli tribal artists. Such efforts give us a clear indication that very soon this folk art will reach the desired level of popularity to make a dominant place in the hearts of true art lovers across the globe.

I don't have any schedule of writing, I write any time, anywhere. I write whatever comes to my mind and whatever I want to write on it, I write it by myself and with my mind.

The most surprising things that I learned in creating my books is first of all I learned a lot about books .I thought it is very common thing to write a book and book gets launched pretty soon but it is not. It takes lot of time to promote a book, it is a very long process and after that the book launch happens and it takes a lot of hard work to be a successful author

1.What is your work schedule like when you are writing?

I just want to say to you all that I'll never keep any kind of work schedule as whenever I feel down, I'll write.

Whenever I feel happy, I'll write. Whatever happens, I'll keep on writing, and this keeps me stimulated all day.

2. What Do You Think Makes A Good Story?

I think that the plot of the story plays a significant role in a healthy story. It should be captivating for the readers to understand and admire it. And also the message should be profound. It should tug people's hearts or should open up the minds of young readers.

If so then it'll be one of the success stories.

3.What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

Mostly that I inject my personality into my writing. I always try to do something different than others, when I get stuck on something, I do tend to search a lot to Clarify it soon -- as if this will somehow reveal the way forward! so that's my quirk.

4.Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?

I write things that intrigue me, ideas that I want to explore. I imagine there are others out there who would find the same things interesting. So in short, I write what interests me, and in an indirect way, for those who will hopefully one day find my work to be exactly what they're looking for.

The real answer to the question is almost as flippant.

The truth is, ideas are free. We grow them naturally. Just about anything we see, hear, read, or experience can spark an idea. The point here is, anything can generate an idea.

All you need is to be receptive. If you can develop the habit of thinking of anything that grabs your interest in terms of whether it would make a topic for a fictional or non-fictional work, you'll find more ideas coming your way than you can handle.

What kinds of things do they say?

Most of my readers say that the poems, quotes or articles which I'm writing will be related to their life. And this makes me feel satisfied and contented for grabbing their attention through my words.

As a new writer, there have been quite a few things that I have learned, most of which have been surprising. One of the things that surprised me the most in writing is how memory details emerge with absolute clarity. I wrote a book with people's first and foremost emotions and feelings in their life. When my friends read it, they recognized it immediately as it has been taken place in their life too.

8. What Are The Common Traps For Aspiring Writers?

There are a lot of traps to fall into when it comes to the world of writing, The most common is not spending enough time with your writing pieces. Make sure you are constantly engaging with your writing and this will never make you a failure.

9. What Is The First Book That Made You Cry? I love the works of RAVINDER SINGH. Talking about his first work, I TOO HAD A LOVE STORY which is a very emotional story, based on his real-life accident. I still remember the time, reading, flipping the last few pages, tears peeping out through the corner of my eyes.

Well!! It all depends on my mood! Though I prefer writing during early morning hours like you say 6 am to 8 am .Evening hours are too calm when you can sit and think on what you need to write.

Though it may differ from person to person, I feel a good story does more than inform or amplify. It adds value to the topic.

A good story is something that it’s audience decides whether it is interesting or important. For me, creating a good story means finding and verifying important or interesting information and then presenting it in a way that engages the audience. …How a story is told is more important to the audience than it’s topic, what it is about .

3.What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

I feel we writers are weird. We surprise ourselves with our writing. This is one quirk that I think probably surprises, even when we plan things out, often our writing takes a complete u turn. We live in world of words and codes, we clutter and declutter everyday.

4.Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?

Yes to great extent I try to be original. I believe unless and until you are true to yourself, you cannot hook to your audience interest.

Sarbajit Chowdhury is an author and as well as an academician. He is a bug of Bengali music and a dear foodie. Writing poetry and short story is his passion and serves as oxygen for him. He loves to travel and explore historical places. He believes mountains are study material for poets and they can understand deeper meaning of life in the lap of nature. He loves to multi-task and currently training himself in classical dance form- Kathaak.

JOURNEY AND WORK PROFILE: He has written two books, Speaking from the Autumn of my Life and The Sluggish Fire. He completed his Masters from University of Burdwan. He is also working as a Guest Lecturer in ST. XAVIER’S COLLEGE BURDWAN and CYBER RESEAECH TRAINING INSTITUTE. He is aiming his research upon the LGBTQ community. His queer short stories “he she is a woman” in An Unknown Story and “The Light and Shadow Play of Love” in Do Lafz Pyaar ke are out and loved by his readers.

As a kid sarbajit was always treated as an underdog and filth. He was severely bullied by his classmates. He would be pinched, or pushed regularly from the desk; his books would be stolen just before exam and was mentally tortured. He felt helpless because his feminine attitude was the reason behind all of this. He started feeling wrong and sad. But as soon as he reached high school he recreated the narrative and started shinning in studies.

As he reached college he wanted to let the pain out and he worked hard and became the President of AICUF unit Burdwan. He recognized himself as a leader, but something deep within him was missing. He started accepting himself, but somehow the immense pain forced him into acute depression and he tried to take his life twice. He had no support except of his best friends. He dealt with severe anxiety and mental illness. But he refused to give and with the help of counselling he stood strong and started writing poems and today he has made his pain his strength and launched two poetry collections and also working as a guest lecturer. He knows his worth and never allows anything to diminish it and embarks on a journey of being a famous author.
