I am an architecture student of 7, semester of architectural education. To me. why buildings are built is as Important as how they are built. Thus. I am interested in the context as well as the design and structure of the building. I have an active, understanding and mediator character in business and social relations.
While several proposals for the revamp of Jama Masjid was put forward in the past years, none were confirmed so far. For one thing, both pilgrims and tourists have to be given priority and at the same time, local shops and kiosks as well as the homeless cannot be simply removed just for the sake of beautifying the area.
Thus, came into existence the design of thoroughfare with regard to the Persian, Mughal and Islamic architecture style similar to that of Jama Masjid. Simultaneously, the homeless and the remaining market were shifted to the ground beside Urdu Park, which was surrounded by seating and gathering areas in Mughal style.

The project aims to enhance the experience of pilgrims and visitors by addressing their diverse needs through thoughtful planning and design. At the heart of the proposal is a Tourist Information Centre, designed to guide and assist travelers efficiently. Complementing this, we have integrated recreational facilities, including a cultural and heritage museum that celebrates the region’s rich history, commercial spaces for retail opportunities, a food court offering diverse culinary options, and a hotel with relaxation zones for restful stays.

Site overview:
The chosen site in in the river bank of Yamuna at Mathura which includes an island in between the river. The main objective to choose this site is because it is not that popular among the people and there were problems to be rectified through design and to manage the river water from polluting. Analyzing the site, river flow and the uneven distribution of land were more challenging and we brought up some solutions for those.
