Annual Report Fiscal Year 2024-25

Dear Friends,
As I step into my new role as the Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties’ (PPOSBC) President & CEO, I feel humbled and inspired to carry forward a mission that has shaped our communities for decades. For 60 years, PPOSBC has been a trusted provider of compassionate, high-quality health care and a steadfast advocate for reproductive rights. This legacy is not only built on decades of service, but on the lives touched and barriers broken.
I’m also proud to honor my predecessor, Jon Dunn, and his profound impact on PPOSBC. His unwavering commitment to access, equity, and dignity for all continues to guide our essential work. At the same time, I’m filled with excitement for the next chapter we’re writing together. The challenges are real — persistent threats of defunding and ongoing attacks on reproductive freedom — but so is our resilience. Time and again, our history has shown us that we have the courage and strength to endure these moments and emerge stronger, continuing our legacy of care for generations to come.
PPOSBC’s impact this year speaks volumes. In FY 2024-25, we served 125,027 unique patients, delivering care with empathy and excellence, no matter what. We also provided $3,008,378 in charitable care. We’ve broken new ground, figuratively and literally. In Fontana, after 3 years of determination and advocacy, construction has officially begun on our 10th health center. Once complete, it will provide more than 36,000 medical visits annually, with appointments available 7 days a week.
In the High Desert, we expanded surgical and abortion services at our Victorville health center, eliminating the 50-plus-mile trip that many patients once faced. Meanwhile, in Anaheim — one of our busiest locations — we doubled our space from 4,000 to 8,000 square feet. With 12 exam rooms, expanded lab services, and an improved layout, monthly patient visits have grown from 2,000 to 3,000.
Alongside these facility expansions, we’ve also advanced care in innovative ways. In 2021, we introduced “opt-out” STI screening, offering testing at every routine appointment without
requiring special requests or added stigma. This simple change has been transformative, enabling the detection of infections, like syphilis, earlier and protecting patients who may not have been aware of their risk. In November 2024, we expanded this approach to include trichomoniasis, a common but often overlooked STI. The results were immediate: 396 infections in pregnant patients were detected and treated early, preventing complications such as premature birth and low birth rates. By finding and addressing these cases, we are safeguarding the health of patients and their babies — proof that small, thoughtful changes can make a huge impact.
These achievements are more than just numbers or new buildings — they reflect our dedication to meeting people where they are and delivering the affordable, quality care they deserve. And while the need for reproductive health care continues to grow, so does our determination to meet it.
As I look ahead, I do so with immense gratitude. To our staff, who embody courage and compassion every day; to our supporters and partners, whose advocacy and generosity make this work possible; to our Board for its steady leadership; and to our patients, who place their trust in us — I thank you. Together, we will carry our legacy of care forward for decades to come.

I cannot express to you in just a Yelp review of how much I am so grateful for the extraordinary kindness that all the women in this facility showed to me. Mind you I was merely a walk in, and the level of health care that they were able to give me after not being back for almost a decade to a Planned Parenthood was extraordinary. The three women I had the privilege of engaging with were extremely patient with me... I am so incredibly grateful to these women that work there. I feel like I was incredibly blessed that afternoon.

56,348 Youth, Parents, & Professionals reached through education & outreach efforts.

Our expert Health Educators were honored to present at 15 local, statewide, and national conferences, sharing their knowledge and expertise with wider audiences.
Through a partnership with The Pocket Panty, we were able to expand our community education to incarcerated women at the California Institution for Women, teaching them about menstrual health and the importance of discussing puberty with their daughters.

Recognizing the importance of uplifting historically underrepresented communities, we implemented a comprehensive Get Out the Vote outreach campaign designed to inform, empower, and activate young voters ahead of the General Election.
We invested $280,000 in a comprehensive voter engagement initiative to mobilize low-propensity Latina and Asian American voters, ages 18-35, in OC via multiple rounds of mail and text outreach, as well as targeted digital ads via social media.
We reminded these young voters of the power of their voice and the importance of participating in our democracy. By emphasizing their civic responsibility and the impact of their vote, we worked to foster a sense of agency and connection to the electoral process—ensuring their values and priorities were represented at the ballot box.
Through our legislative advocacy efforts, we helped secure the successful passage of AB 2085—a critical bill that prohibits municipal interference in the development of new reproductive health care centers.
Our dedicated supporters and staff elevated this work during our annual Capitol Day in Sacramento, where we met directly with legislators to advocate for the bill and underscore the urgent need to remove barriers to care in communities that need it most.
After years of opposition and delays from city officials, this legislative win directly paved the way for the long-awaited approval of our Fontana health center, serving as a testament to the power of advocacy, persistence, and community mobilization in defending access to reproductive health care.
Across neighborhoods, campuses, and digital platforms, we engaged our communities through educational and advocacy opportunities designed to spark dialogue, build community power, and inspire action around reproductive freedom and health equity.
