A LETTER FROM PRESIDENT & CEO

As I reflect on the past year at Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties (PPOSBC), I am filled with pride and gratitude for the incredible achievements and unwavering dedication of our team. Our commitment to excellence has been the driving force behind our efforts to provide affordable, high-quality, compassionate and non-judgmental health care to our community.

This year, PPOSBC has not only maintained its reputation for exceptional care but has also surpassed expectations by continuing to deliver the highest volume of services among all affiliates nationwide. We are proud to have provided over 270,000 medical visits. This remarkable achievement highlights our capacity and team’s dedication to meeting the health care needs of our community.

Our commitment to accessibility and equity is demonstrated by our provision of $2.9 million in services to those unable to pay. This crucial support ensures that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, has access to the health care they need and deserve. This includes our commitment to serving any abortion patient who needs our care whether they are local or forced to travel for our care from another state.

In response to the growing needs in our high desert community, we have expanded our specialty services, including colposcopy, LEEP, polyp removal and biopsies in our Victorville health center. This expansion represents our ongoing commitment to ensuring that comprehensive reproductive health care is accessible to all, no matter what.

We are unwavering in our commitment to open a new health center in Fontana, despite the City Council’s recent extension of the “urgency moratorium” on new construction permits. Our lawsuit against the city of Fontana, filed in December 2023, underscores our dedication to ensuring that our community has access to essential care. We will continue to challenge this unjust moratorium until we achieve justice and can provide the vital services our community needs.

The diversity of our staff is a cornerstone of our strength and ability to serve our diverse community effectively. We believe that a diverse team fosters innovation, empathy, and understanding, enabling us to deliver the highest standard of care to all our patients.

Our dedication to providing high-quality, compassionate care is reflected in the feedback we receive from our patients. All nine of our health centers have earned a rating of four stars or higher on Yelp, a testament to the exceptional service and care our team provides daily.

As we look ahead, we remain steadfast in our mission to deliver the best possible care to our patients. We are grateful for the trust and support of our community, and we are committed to continuing to lead the way in reproductive and primary health care with compassion, excellence, and integrity.
