HEALTH CARE ❱❱

We provide the City’s most advanced, at our four health centers in the Bronx, Island and in our mobile services. We regardless of their ability to pay, age,

We bring innovative health education, training, and technical assistance to New Yorkers and to our international partners.



EDUCATION & OUTREACH ❱❱

Our programs include:

❱ Teen Advocates Highly trained teen peer educators who use interactive theatrical skits and workshops to educate young people about sexual and reproductive health and pregnancy prevention.

❱ Adult Role Models Neighborhood parents trained by PPNYC to lead workshops to teach other caring adults how to talk about sex with their children comfortably and knowledgeably.

❱ Training Institute Conducts trainings about the latest theories, research, and best practices in our areas of expertise, equipping youth-serving professionals to be trusted resources in their communities.


❱ Sex Education Workshops Offered to schools and community organizations, these workshops cover such topics as prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, abstinence, contraception, sexual orientation, and healthy relationships.

❱ Programs for At-Risk Teens Evidence-based interventions in which boys and girls can obtain the information, skills, and support they need to lead sexually healthy, safe, and responsible lives.

❱ Capacity-Building Assistance Offered to organizations so they can provide their clients with information and referrals that can foster sexual and reproductive health.

❱M argaret Sanger Center International Shares training and technical assistance with organizations overseas so they can develop or enhance their own culturally appropriate educational programs, clinical services, and advocacy. These partnerships inform and enrich PPNYC’s services and programs in New York City.

PPNYC is a not-for-profit organization, and client fees and public grants cover only a portion of the costs of our health services, education and training programs, and advocacy efforts. To sustain our work, we rely on a large network of friends who support us financially and in other ways.

VOLUNTEERING ❱❱

Volunteers have been essential to PPNYC’s work since we first started to serve New Yorkers in 1916. Today we rely on legions of volunteers who help with our health services, educational programs, advocacy, and administration.
