PRESIDENT’S AWARD RECIPIENT

The President’s Award recipient for 2022 was Jorge Rodriguez. Jorge sets a positive example for all PPH staff with his dedication and hard work and can often be seen running around the PPH campus with a positive spirit and a willingness to go above and beyond. He is a great mentor to newer Security staff and, as an Army Veteran, actively participates in all military and veteran’s holidays, including flag raisings.

Independent Living Resident Of The Year

The Independent Living Resident of the Year was awarded to longtime resident Paul Hedges. Paul is a highly engaged member of the community who selflessly volunteers his time at the library and helps with mail and package deliveries. He is deeply grateful for the exceptional care his wife received during her stay at Pathways, and has made a personal commitment to continue giving back through volunteer work for as long as he is able.

Personal Care Resident Of The Year

Angela Emmanuele was voted Personal Care Resident of the Year. The middle child among her five siblings, Angela has numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She cherishes her family and is always available to support them. Angela was an active member of the Sunshine Foundation, volunteered by reading to children, and takes pleasure in scrapbooking. At PPH, she continues to serve by aiding and advocating for fellow residents and has dedicated her life to assisting others.

Pathways Resident Of The Year

The Pathways Resident of the Year award went to Barbara D’Amore. Barbara engages with her fellow residents in the Pathways neighborhood daily and kindly plays Frank Sinatra’s music on Alexa for their enjoyment. Even after scheduled events have ended, she takes the initiative to lead discussions or activities. Despite only residing here briefly, she exemplifies what being the Resident of the Year means, and brings a lively and refreshing atmosphere to the neighborhood.

Volunteer Of The Year

Kathleen McAdoo was named the 2022 Volunteer of the Year. A dedicated PPH volunteer since 2008, Kathy has held multiple positions throughout the facility. She currently serves as a member of the Auxillary, an assistant in Tabor Market and the Commons Beauty Shop, and the welcoming person in her building. Known for her pleasant demeanor and warm smile, Kathy has contributed significantly to the organization and is celebrated for her kind and helpful approach.
