Who Are We and What Are We Planning to Do?
About us
Potter's House Ministries started in 2019. We want to reach the community where we are in Romania with Christ.
Before the Coronavirus, we started an Afterschool program and we're restarting that soon.

To share the Gospel of Christ and be a light in our community.
To help house abandoned children in children's homes, where they are loved and cared for.
More About Romania
Romania has Romanians, Hungarians, and Rroma. The Rroma have gone through difficult times in Romania, often having a hard time finding a job (due to multiple reasons). Often, they will send their children on the street to beg (even when they should be in school), which makes the cycle of poverty continuous. The next generation needs to be able to go to school to be able to get ahead in society.
Because of this poverty, also there are many mothers who abort their child or leave their newborn baby at the hospital, which means that the government has to find places for the babies Our goal is to help improve their lives through the Gospel and through helping them through these problems
Our Solutions
Children's Homes
We will start children's homes here in Romania (orphanages aren't allowed in the EU anymore). Our goal is to start at least 3 children's homes (needed are 2 parents a social worker, and a psychologist for each children's home) Children's homes usually house 6 children.
Afterschool
We plan to restart our afterschool program, which helped feed the children in the classroom as well as gave them an opportunity to hear the Gospel and learn more
Food Distribution
We will help families in need on a case-by-case basis who have their children in school by food distribution (as well as getting them a Bible)
Job Preparation
For parents who are needing a job, we will help them prepare for a job by helping them with their CV (resume) and helping prepare them for the interview Also by lending them some clothes for the interview They'll also learn about the Gospel.

Radiant Horizons Program Overview
Radiant Horizons is a mission-driven initiative, guided by the love and teachings of Christ, that seeks to uplift Rroma children and their families from the stranglehold of poverty. Our Christian faith is the cornerstone of this program and influences every aspect of our approach:
Children's Education and Spiritual Growth: We aim to keep Rroma children in school through a comprehensive after-school program. We provide a balanced meal, aiming to nourish their bodies as Christ nourished the multitude. Moreover, we offer Bible devotionals, nurturing their souls and guiding them in their spiritual journey Homework assistance ensures the children's academic progress, helping them to unlock their potential and creating opportunities for a brighter future.
Family Assistance and Spiritual Guidance: We reach out to the families of these children by providing essential food supplies, reminiscent of Christ's compassion for the hungry Alongside meeting their physical needs, we distribute Bibles, serving as a source of spiritual nourishment and guidance. Our aim is to alleviate their immediate needs while also illuminating their path with the light of God's Word.
Job Preparation and Skill Development: Recognizing the prevalent unemployment issues among the Rroma community adults, we follow the Biblical principle of equipping people to help themselves. Our job preparation programs aim to furnish them with essential skills such as literacy and interview readiness. This includes education, practice interviews, and even providing attire suitable for job interviews, encapsulating the dignity and respect inherent in our Christian values There will also be a devotional for them as well
Through Radiant Horizons, our goal is to mirror the transformative love of Christ, not only improving the present situation of these individuals and families but also empowering them with the skills and opportunities to create a sustainable, hope-filled future We believe in offering 'fish' but more importantly, teaching how to 'fish'.

Moving our Headquarters - September 2023
Goals
With our new headquarters, we are planning to restart the afterschool program. However, we probably won't have the same requirements for the afterschool program as we will be having in the future, we're just starting it to be able to start our program (we will need more funds to start with our plans).
Timeline
We move into the new headquarters in September and, depending on when we have more volunteers, we'll be able to start (likely by October or November 2023) Below is a photo of the afterschool's room (how it currently looks before we move in).

We strive to empower these children and their families through a comprehensive, Christian-based program that encompasses education, food support, and employment assistance. Our vision is to see these individuals rise above their circumstances, seize the opportunities we help to create, and ultimately, thrive in their lives
