Classic Clash - Boys High versus HTS Boys High held a function on Tuesday to introduce the teams that will play in the Classic Clash rugby game between themselves and HTS Potchefstroom this Saturday. It was a fun event with delicious food provided by John Dory’s. It promoted good sportsmanship between the two schools and also
gave thanks to FNB (main sponsor), Engen Uncle Arthur’s Retail Centre (sponsor of Boys High 1st team’s jerseys) and Printing Things (sponsor of H.T.S 1st team’s jerseys). Everyone waits in great anticipation to see which team will win the MellowWood Cup this year. Boys High won the cup in 2012. The game between the two schools started in 1988 as engraved on the cup, although the Clas-
sic Clash is now only 8 years old. The origin of the Mellowood trophy as told by David Fourie from HTS started when Boys High played a game against HTS in 1988 and decided to braai after the game.
