i am pleased to let everyone know that our last article’s pet of the month, the very handsome male cat reg, has now found his forever home in this edition’s article i wanted to tell you about the sweetest kitten who was born atthe centre recently little ginger georgie has had a difficult start but my staff are doing everything they can to give him the best chance of a happy life georgie was born with a slight deformity in his front legs, which at four days old the vet diagnosed as compacted tendons when georgie was first diagnosed, our vet was hopeful that as he grew his legs would start to straighten unfortunately, georgie’s progress was more gradual than the vet would have liked and he was still struggling to walk at four weeks old little georgie was big enough to be fitted with splints that we hoped would help his legs straighten. his little makeshift splints are made from shortened cotton buds attached to his legs with vet tape although he was not overly keen on the splints to start with, he is now getting used to wearing them. georgie wears them during the day when my staff are around so they can keep an eye on them. my staff are also continuing his therapy by encouraging him to walk with and without his little splints on. i have my paws crossed that it will work out for georgie and he will be able to live a happy life in the future your support and donations mean that crrc can continue to support animals like georgie on his rehabilitation journey if you would like to see updates on georgie’s progress do have a look at our facebook page
