Seven Peaks Hike. By climbing seven of the peaks surrounding the fjord, one can become ‘Seyðisfjörður’s Mountain Viking’.
An easy and pleasant route through a forestry area and in to Fjarðarsel where one will find beautiful waterfalls and a variety of Icelandic vegetation.
Mostly exceeding 1,000 m. There are visitors’ books and stamps on each peak. The cards for summit stamps and further details are available at the Information Center.
Dvergasteinn may be seen down on the shore. According to the famous folklore the rock is a dwarf church and it followed the peoples church across the fjord.

Snjóflóð by Theódór Blöndal made out of beams from a factory that was destroyed in a snow avalanche that came from Mt. Bjólfur in 1995.

Vestdalur valley & Vestdalseyri is a Nature Conservation site for heritage and unique vegetation.
A visit to the oldest operational power plant in Iceland. Fjarðarsel (1913) is plesant and can be arrange upon request at the Information center. Fjarðarsel power plant marked a turning point in the history of Icelandic electrification.
