LAST MATCH RECAP Playing in their 2018 regular-season finale, the Portland Timbers fell 2-1 to Cascadia-rival Vancouver Whitecaps FC in front of 25,348 fans at BC Place on Oct. 28. Midfielder Andrés Flores scored his first career MLS goal in the loss at Vancouver.
Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first eight MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
