LAST MATCH RECAP The Portland Timbers recorded their fourth home win of the season before a sold-out crowd at Providence Park on May 22, as four different players found the back of the net, giving the Timbers a 4-2 win over Cascadia-rival Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Timbers midfielders Diego Valeri, Darlington Nagbe and Dairon Asprilla and forward Jack McInerney each scored for Portland.
Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first six MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
