LAST MATCH RECAP The Portland Timbers fell 3-2 Minnesota United FC before 18,442 fans TCF Bank Stadium on June 21. Midfielder Diego Valeri scored his ninth goal of the season in the match against Minnesota United.
Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first six MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
