NO PLACE LIKE HOME LAST MATCH RECAP The Timbers registered 11 shots on goal, while holding Cascadia-rival Seattle Sounders FC to just one as forward Fanendo Adi tallied a second-half brace and midfielders Darlington Nagbe and Rodney Wallace each contributed a goal and an assist in a comprehensive, 4-1 win in front of a sellout crowd of 21,144 fans at Providence Park on Sunday night. Portland’s 11 shots on goal Sunday against Sounders FC rank as the second-most in a single match in Portland’s MLS-club history, while the Timbers’ 23 total shot attempts is tied for third-most in a match since 2011. Defensively, Portland conceded just one shot on goal during the match, which marks the second time in the last three regular-season games that the Timbers have held an opponent to one shot on frame. The Timbers have won six of their last seven matches in all competitions, including five wins in their last six league games since May 27.

Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first four MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
