LAST MATCH RECAP The Portland Timbers defeated the Philadelphia Union 3-0 before 21,144 fans at Providence Park on Aug. 4, extending their unbeaten run to 15 league games, which matches their MLS club record for consecutive games without a loss. Three different players scored in the second half, with midfielder Diego Valeri, forward Dairon Asprilla and midfielder David Guzmán each scoring.

Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first eight MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
