LAST MATCH RECAP The Portland Timbers battled the New England Revolution to a 1-1 draw before a sold-out crowd of 21,144 fans at Providence Park on April 2. Diego Valeri scored the Timbers goal early in the first half, with the midfielder recording his fifth league goal in five games played this season.
Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first six MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
