Pickleball

One of the fastest growing sports in the US, has come to Portland Parks & Recreation. Southwest Community Center Open Play: Monday and Wednesday Evenings 7:30pm to 9:30pm 4 courts – high level, intermediate and beginners

Mt. Scott Community Center

Monday 12:30-2:30pm Friday 12:15-2:00pm 3 courts – intermediate and beginners Drop-In fees apply

This past Fall the sport was introduced at a number of community centers with significant success at several, including Southwest and Mt. Scott, where it is thriving. Monday and Wednesday evenings have seen active play at Southwest while Monday and Friday mid-days are in play at Mt. Scott. Permanent lines for outdoor courts have been put on tennis courts at Gabriel and Columbia Parks with other locations to follow. Portland Tennis Center has been leading this effort and will soon be introducing beginner classes to teach players the basics of the sport.
