Beginners start with 30 minute lessons; advanced students (playing concertos or sonatas) move to 45 minute lessons; 60 minute lessons are provided in special cases. Suzuki, traditional, hybrid, and other instructional methods are used, depending on the instructor. Daily individual practice between classes is a required part of successful music instruction. Instruments Instrument rentals may be available—indicate your need for an instrument at the time of registration or fill out our online rental request form at: communitymusiccenter.org/instruments Participation Good attendance and practice between lessons is expected. Required Enrichment Class (School Year) During the school year, CMC requires private lesson students to enroll in a concurrent enrichment class (Music Skills, Ensemble, etc.), or apply for an exemption if participating in similar activities elsewhere. Separate fees apply for CMC’s enrichment classes, and enrollment for the class is in addition to the private lesson registration.
