REGISTER NOW ONLINE at PortlandParks.org – Click on the “Register Now!” top tab.

Search for classes by age, category, location or keyword – or narrow your search by specific activity or course number.

PHONE – Call any local PP&R site or phone in your registration to the PP&R Customer Service Hotline at 503-823-2525, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:15pm. Only Visa, MasterCard or American Express accepted with phone-in registration.

IN PERSON – Any PP&R facility is able to process your registration, including the Customer Service Center located in the lobby of the Portland Building at 1120 SW Fifth Ave. All Community Centers are open for walk-in registration during business hours.

WITHDRAWAL & REFUNDS Please notify us at least five (5) business days (Monday-Friday), unless otherwise specified, before the start of your program so that we can refund or credit your account for the registration fee. Pre-paid materials and admission tickets cannot be refunded. Participants needing to withdraw after the program has begun are offered a prorated credit or refund based upon when the request is made.

SCHOLARSHIPS City of Portland residents, regardless of age, who require financial assistance may apply for partial scholarships. Contact individual centers for information.

PAYMENT PLANS Summer camp costs can add up over the summer. Portland Parks & Recreation camp programs offer customizable payment plan options.

Contact the community center to set up a plan that is just right for you.

Full payment must be complete a week prior to the start of camp.

BEFORE/AFTER CARE General day camps for preschool and youth age programs offer Before Care starting no later than 7:30am and After Care programs available until 6pm. Some locations require advanced registration and others offer daily drop-in rates.

WHAT TO BRING Take a look over the suggested packing list to make sure Camp Check-in is a breeze.

• Participation Form to hand to staff can be printed and filled out ahead of time: www. portlandoregon.gov/parks/summercamps • Bring a list of names of people who may pick-up your child to share with staff when you sign-in your child • Note: Valid ID is required to check-out a child at the end of the day.

• Child should wear closed-toe athletic shoes and comfortable, weather appropriate, clothing • Sunscreen (applied at home and packed for later in the day) • Backpack, labeled with last name and phone number • Water bottle, labeled • Lunch, labeled • AM & PM Snacks

BEFORE AND AFTER CARE

MONTAVILLA COMMUNITY CENTER PRESCHOOL Day camps at Montavilla Community Center & Park all feature the convenience of FLEXIBLE registration. This means you only register and pay for the days (even half-days in some camps) that you plan to utilize! Choose the specific dates of camp your child will attend!

Payment Plans: Weekly payment plans are available when registering in advance and require a credit card for auto-payment on the designated payment dates. One week’s payment per child is due at time of registration.

•

Withdraw/Change Policy: We understand that schedules do change. We are happy to accommodate these changes when notified by the Wednesday of the week prior to the date your child was registered to attend.

•

Drop-off & Pick-up: Campers must be signed in and out of camp by a parent or other responsible adult each day. Morning Session drop off’s will take place inside the community center each day. Camp Adventures students will be released from their class room inside the community center. Mid-day & Afternoon pick up for Daily Adventures camp will take place outside in the park.

Daily Destination campers can be signed off from the multi-use room inside the community center.

•

What to Bring: Campers should dress for some time outside. Daily Adventures & Daily Destination campers will spend much of their day out in the elements. Closed toed shoes - please no slip-on’s, slides or sandals.

Camp Adventures age: 3-5 Camp will meet inside Montavilla Community Center but may spend some time outside on the playground and in the park with their teachers!

Campers should dress for the weather each day and we ask that they wear clothes that can get a little messy and closed toe shoes for play.

Please send a lunch with your Full-day campers. We will not utilize the playground lunches for this youngest age group.

Looking for something to do this summer? Gain leadership & volunteer experience in a supervised environment that enhances self-esteem, promotes positive self-image & develops the spirit of volunteerism. Training provides skills to work with youth in a recreation setting where upon successful class completion, Jr. Leaders may be placed as volunteers in summer camps.

Why let the kids have all the fun? Join us for a night of camp activities for the whole family. Discover the joys of camp through arts & crafts, games, science and special projects. Make new friends while you partake in a self-guided scavenger hunt that introduces you to all camp has to offer!

$12 per child ages 3-12 (Adults free with admission, Adult supervision required). No drop ins.

Teacher Apprentice age: 13-17 Responsible, patient teens who like the outdoors and working with children are encouraged to become a Teacher Apprentice for Nature Day Camp. Each week-long program provides guidance in child management, encourages communication with both peers & parents, and connects teens with older staff as mentors and role models. Teacher Apprentices work directly with the children - supervised by our paid staff - and are given opportunities to develop leadership and group organization skills. One of our paid staff meets with the Teacher Apprentices 2-3 times throughout the week to help set goals, debrief any issues, and evaluate new skills. The $20 fee helps cover the cost of the T-shirts, Teacher Apprentice Workbooks and staff time given to each volunteer. Participants will NOT be turned away because of financial need. IN PERSON – Any PP&R facility is able to process your registration, including the Customer Service Center located in the lobby of the Portland Building at 1120 SW Fifth Ave. All Community Centers are open for walk-in registration during business hours.

WITHDRAWAL & REFUNDS Please notify us at least five (5) business days (Monday-Friday), unless otherwise specified, before the start of your program so that we can refund or credit your account for the registration fee. Pre-paid materials and admission tickets cannot be refunded. Participants needing to withdraw after the program has begun are offered a prorated credit or refund based upon when the request is made.

Summer camp costs can add up over the summer. Portland Parks & Recreation camp programs offer customizable payment plan options. Contact the community center to set up a plan that is just right for you. Full payment must be complete a week prior to the start of camp.

BEFORE/AFTER CARE General day camps for preschool and youth age programs offer Before Care starting no later than 7:30am and After Care programs available until 6pm. Some locations require advanced registration and others offer daily drop-in rates.

• Purchase a NR fee discount pass as either an individual or family for a period of three, six or nine months from the date of purchase. The NR discount pass takes 25% off the NR fee for the activity. Inquire about this option at time of registration. These passes are not refundable.

INCLEMENT WEATHER If the City of Portland public school districts (Portland Public, Parkrose, David Douglas, Reynolds, and Centennial) are closed because of weather conditions, PP&R classes and youth basketball in those school districts are cancelled.

However, some sites may be open for drop-in activities. Call the specific PP&R facility for information and opening/ closing times. If inclement weather is forecast on weekends or holidays, call the PP&R facility or program for operating hours and activity cancellations.

Register Now – One of Five Ways ONLINE at PortlandParks.org – Click on the “Register Now!” top tab. Search for classes by age, category, location or keyword – or narrow your search by specific activity or course number.

PHONE – Complete this registration form and call any PP&R site using the phone numbers on the map pages.

You may also phone in your registration to the PP&R Customer Service Hotline at 503-823-2525, MondayFriday, 8:30am-5:15pm. Only Visa, MasterCard or American Express accepted with phone-in registration.

MAIL – Mail your completed registration form to the program center address. Include full payment using your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or check payable to the City of Portland. Mail-in registration is also received at the PP&R Customer Service Center, 1120 SW Fifth Ave, Suite 1302, Portland, OR 97204.

FAX – Complete the registration form and fax it to 503-823-2515 with full payment using your Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Faxes are accepted 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but are processed during regular business hours.

IN PERSON – Any PP&R facility is able to process your registration, including the Customer Service Center located in the lobby of the Portland Building at 1120 SW Fifth Ave. All Community Centers are open for walkin registration during business hours.
