LEADERSHIP ERICK RAGNI, AIA, LEED AP

DIRECTOR OF INTERIORS

An award-winning architect with more than 30 years of experience, Erick Ragni is a native New Yorker, who came to Houston via a distinguished academic and professional career working with some of the most recognized firms in the country. Erick made Houston his home when he was awarded the prestigious Wortham teaching fellowship from Rice University. His professional career has spanned the country and includes working with Frank O Gehry, HOK, Rey de la Rez, and DMJM Rottet. For the last 13 years, Erick served as founding principal and co-director of Mayfield and Ragni Studio in Houston. He joins longtime colleagues Jorge Munoz and Enrique Albin, integrating a full-service, design-focused interiors practice into Munoz+Albin to realize fully conceived, holistic projects of the highest level and quality. The true integration of Interior and Design Architecture has always been a dream of Erick’s.

BRAVA LOCATION CLIENT UNITS COMPLETION

*As featured in Interior Design Magazine Nov 2023 *Houston Business Journal Landmark Award Recipient Brava pushes design boundaries and establishes a new, thoroughly modern architectural vocabulary for the city’s center. It is undoubtedly destined to be one of the most recognizable buildings in downtown Houston, as well as its tallest residential building at 47 stories. The interiors at Brava weave a bold narrative -- they celebrate the legacy of the Houston Chronicle, the site’s former tenant, with numerous references to newsprint, paper, and history. The unfolding narrative is a joy for first timers and long-time residents alike. The ground floor is an intimate lobby punctuated by a floor-to-ceiling curving plaster wall that sweeps from the motor court around the entire lobby. The gently curving and rippling wall, broken into three distinct segments, creates a visual language of creasing and curving evocative of the folds of a newspaper. The project’s color palette is soft, comprised of neutrals, like the paper of newsprint, and punctuated with saturated blacks and crisp lines, as metals, tile, and wood act as ink marring the page. Bold splashes of color strike the eye, calling out from the quiet serenity. *Paper City Houston Best in Commercial Design The interior architecture of the Victor strives to be stylistically timeless yet locally grounded. Inspired by the thriving Dallas arts and culture scene, the Victor features numerous commissioned artworks, granting opportunities to experience the work of local and international artists from the comfort of one’s living space. Adjacent to the entry stands a cluster of cast free-standing figurative sculptures in perpetual dialog with nearby street scene. Their looming forms accentuate the height of the ground floor. Beyond, a large-scale hand-carved felt wall marries attentiveness to detail with a large material move, soft yet solid. Refinement in both the crafting of space and the careful selection of custom furnishings unify all into a singular design statement. A broad variety of resident amenity areas cater to everything from co-working to simulated golf to private catering ready party rooms. Every detail has been considered, even the scale and texture of ice from the ice machines has been considered and curated to enhance the resident experience. REMY ON THE TRAILS I LOCATION CLIENT UNITS COMPLETION

Remy on the Trails is a suburban apartment and mixed-use development situated on a 24-acre site along the west side of Beltway 8. It consists of three 4-story buildings, encompassing 330 units featuring one- and two-bedroom floor plans, spanning a total area of 400,000 square feet. The master plan for the property includes additional mixed-use components, such as onsite food and beverage retail options. Seven distinct amenity zones are aligned along the building’s street frontage, punctuated by stone and backlit glass columns. A language of walnut slatted screening walls provides privacy at key moments of dissimilar programmatic adjacencies. The consistent palette of wood, stone, and backlit glass ties all areas together, with chandeliers serving as focal points along the way. The Southmore elevates the Houston multi-family market with a refined aesthetic that draws inspiration from its exclusive location in the heart of Houston’s museum district. The slender 24 level tower sits just north of Herman Park on oak-lined Caroline Street, directly across from the Asian Society. This unique location served as the fodder for the design concepts. Inspired by the serenity of the Asian Society building, the design team integrated Asian minimalism with soft modern aesthetic and celebrated the site’s urban greenery by blurring line between indoor and outdoor. Energized by the vibrancy of the art culture in the Museum District, the design team pushed their signature fusion of art & architect further with The Southmore. Site specific art installations, rooted in the neighborhood’s district, were integrated with into design, creating a marriage of art and architecture

Planned as a dynamic mixed-use campus including a five-star hotel, best-in-class multifamily residences, and luxurious condominiums, along with curated retail organized around a public plaza, Post Oak Boulevard is boldly conceived as a lasting legacy for the Houston community.

Multifamily interior scope included planning for a variety of bespoke amenity areas and the planning of all residential units, finishes, and furnishings. Our team worked directly with the design architect KPF and numerous other project consultants.

RIVA ROW LOCATION CLIENT UNITS STATUS

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS HOWARD HUGHES 269 UNITS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Located in the heart of The Woodlands, 1 Riva Row is a new build multi-family development comprising of 269 apartments on the banks of the Waterway, the connecting lifeblood of the city, as part of a 3.57 acre development by Howard Hughes. Overlooking The Waterway and within walking distance to The Woodlands shopping, dining, entertainment, and trails, residences include apartments, penthouses, and townhomes, providing turnkey luxury living in The Woodlands. Riva Row provides luxury living that is walkable to The Woodlands’ many outdoor amenities and Town Center activities. The project also features top-of line amenities with fitness and recreation spaces linking up directly with the Waterway. The architecture of the project consists of two distinct masses; a 4 story domestic-scale volume and a 14 story tower which fronts the prominent corner location.
