Storybook Library
Public Library
April 2024
Cambridge Ontario, Canada
Supervised by Linda Zhang
Media: Rhino, Adobe Ps, AI, Id, D5 Render
The Storybook Library rests on a busy street in Galt Cambridge where there are little to no public places of gathering. The Library aims to invite people into the space, to build community within the area.
Each area within the library is meant to create a different atmosphere. At its center is the atrium with high vaulted ceilings. Surrounding the atrium are smaller gathering spaces, and seperating these two are narrow hallways with staggered entryways that hold displays of old storybooks, to create a doorless experience for visitors as they walk through the gallery. Creating accessible and beautiful entryways. The library additionally hosts a cafe, outdoor greenspace, patio, private study rooms, meeting spaces, archives and an office.
Each part of the Library took carefull consideration into how visitors can have a memorable experience, no matter what age or demographic they fit into. To get lost like one would in the pages of a storybook, and to evoke memories of childlike wonder.

Sambro Lighthouse Hotel
Commercial Hotel
June 2024
Sambro Island, Nova Scotia Media used; Rhino, Adobe Ps, AI, D5 Render
Lighthouses all around the world are left abandoned and unused as newer technology takes its rise in coastal safety. The Sambro Lighthouse Hotel aims to create new uses for historical landmarks.
The Sambro Lighthouse is the oldest standing lighthouse in North America, being created in 1758, adding a hotel creates a visiting spot for travelers to experience Canadian history. Its U-like shape replicates the land this historical structure sits on. Additionally the curved steel beams follow the flow of the waves surrounding it, all while supporting the original lighthouse’s structure. The resort creates a serene environment for people to enjoy the natural habitat of our giant coastal guards, the lighthouse.
Infinity Passage
Pedestrian Bridge
January 2024
Sherman Falls, Hamilton Ontario
In collaboration with Julia Kenzap
Supervised by David Correa and Isabel Ochoa
Media used; Rhino, Adobe Id, AI, Lr, Ps, D5 Render
The Infinity Passage connects two ends of a hiking trail. The design, a continuous spiraling shape, gives hikers two options, either straight across to the other end, or upwards to the lookout point. The lookout point intentionally orient hikers towards the site’s waterfall.
The bridge uses a steel cantilever that curves in organic shape to contrast the straight bottom of the rest of the structure.
The Bridge creates a unique experience for hikers by following a natural flow, like water, while not taking away from the environment surrounding it.

Windswept Retreat
Residence and Studio Space
May 2024
St. Johns, Newfoundland
In collaboration with Rebecca Boone
Supervised by Anna Beznogova

The Windswept Retreats sits in the heart of St John’s, the capital of Newfoundland, Canada. It overlooks Quidi Vidi Village, a community in the city that provides the feel of a rural bay town Newfoundland while still being located in an urban environment. St John’s is subject to harsh winds, cold temperatures, and long winters. The Windswept Retreat embraces and maximizes the potential of these conditions to create a comforting and sustainable escape for two textile artists.
Windows that are specifically oriented to provide maximum daylighting and passive heating while offering beautiful views into the bay, providing inspiration to any artist who decides to stay.
The Windswept retreat acknowledges the roots of culture and history it sits on. Taking inspiration from Newfoundland architecture, from small fishing huts to the punt boat, the supplier for families within these small fishing communities. While the structure takes on modern systematic approaches, we still decided to maintain the colorful wooden paneling that many locals have used before, a symbol of what Newfoundland stands for.
Case study discussing the University of Chicago Law School building designed by Eero Saarinen in 1961. The context plan addresses important historical buildings on campus for both law and architecture. Signifying how the law school lies between them as a tether for both subjects.
