Place of Meeting
Where our hearts are planted May was a season of contemplating the meaning of reconciliation in the face of what we have learned of the suffering of our First Nations brothers and sisters, and contemplating how we can live more justly together as children of the Creator. Above, together with Diem LaFortune and Lori Unger, kids plant a “heart garden” at the front of the church in memory of children who suffered under the residential schools system. (Some of TUMC’s hearts went to a larger installation in Ottawa.)
