Festival Closes

Valley Concert Band The Annual Tennis Tournament begins at 8 a.m. July 2 and 3 at Central High School, 1530 Monmouth St. The mini marathon is a 2.6 mile (mostly downhill) fun run along the route of the Monmouth-Independence 4th of July Parade. The course starts at the Monmouth City Park near city hall and ends at the Independence Library. Registration is $10 for ages 9 and under until June 30, and $25 for ages 9 and older through July 3 and $30 the day of the race.
