Festival Closes

Valley Concert Band The Annual Tennis Tournament begins at 8 a.m. July 2 and 3 at Central High School, 1530 Monmouth St. The mini marathon is a 2.6 mile (mostly downhill) fun run along the route of the Monmouth-Independence 4th of July Parade. The course starts at the Monmouth City Park near city hall and ends at the Independence Library. Registration is $10 for ages 9 and under until June 30, and $25 for ages 9 and older through July 3 and $30 the day of the race. Overall winners and age group winners will be announced online and in the Itemizer-Observer.

The City has a great line up of “Music, Food and Fun” at this year’s July 4th Festival!

New this year is a Talent Show We will once again host the beginning at noon. Come watch annual church in the park. The your neighbors perform! VenCommunity Art Show, sponsored dors and bounce houses open. by the Monmouth Arts and Shop the vendor stalls and Culture Commission opens. Please support your local artisans. All stop by and vote for your favorite items are handcrafted! art work. Entertainment includes Paradise of Samoa Dance Troupe, Taiko Drummers, the Albany Swing Band and our traditional patriotic concert performed by the Willamette Valley Concert Band!

MONDAY JULY 4TH Before the parade, stop by and look at the beautiful cars that have been entered in our 21st annual Classic Car Show!

After the parade, finish out the day by enjoying a performance

Violators will be towed. Due to unfortunate circumstances beyond organizers’ control, both the Logging Show and Arm Wrestling Events are Cancelled for this year.
