CONCEPT NOTE
Fabric and the hike is based on the concept of a very informal market where people are welcome at any time of the day and can choose any kind of activity they want to do in the facility. The idea of the project is to bring that informal nature back again in a different way. Through this project , I wanted to question the permanence of architecture.When change is the only permanent factor in the world , why should our buildings be permanent ? is the question I have started my exploration of the project with and chose a modular grid and fabric which can be easily replaceable. The whole space when dismantelled becomes a stairway to the hilltop in the site chosen for the project.
Site chosen for the project is a hilly area in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Aranya is an animal care centre planned at Bannerghatta national park , Bangalore . It is a campus designed for the conservation & protection of animals.

CONCEPT NOTE
Aranya is a Animal care campus located in Bannerghatta national park, Bangalore . Concept of the project revolves around the tragedy of caging animals and their plight. I have tried to create a same inward looking experience through the project which helps the programme as well as experience of the space. Site is a rocky outcrop with a small lake in it. Response to the lake and views is done through creating open courtyards and balconies overlooking it.
started with a cube and divided the cube into equal grids of 5m cubes each.
Moved a part of grid to allow for the views of the site
According to the wind direction, I have modified the grids and deleted a few of the cubes.

Aarvi is a community healthcare centre planned in a very dense neighbourhood in Bangalore. With the aim of reducing the urban heat islands, a biophilic approach is taken.

Aarvi is located in dense neighbourhood of Jayanagar , Bangalore. I have tried to reduce the density of building through fragmentation , Bisociation of contrasting materials and playing with heights of the masses.

FABRIC is very light material and it can be replaced easily . Since the facility designed is for the Baluchari Saree Revival , whole of the interiors are designed to depict the flowing nature of the Fabric. So, the fabric can be changed whenever needed and the facility is not the same always.
