senseless acts of vandalism with no reports of theft. Considerable damage was caused to the three businesses and the vehicles that were targeted . Damage to the vehicles include: broken taillights, smashed windows and windshields and in one instance, a fire extinguisher was discharged inside one of the vandalized vehicles. Investigators have obtained some current information that a group of youths were either directly involved in or witnessed these incidents.
strongly encourage anyone who becomes aware of such activities, regardless of nature, to report any incident that they feel is out of the ordinary. Such calls are not a waste of time or resources for RCMP officers. As in the earlier mentioned case where charges arose from a tip, RCMP investigators strongly believe that it takes citizen’s cooperation along with police resources to keep our community safe from these reckless acts of vandalism that end up affecting everyone through rising insurance rates.
