The annual January kickoff reception in advance of April’s Point Honors New York (honoring Dr. Neal Baer and Lena Dunham) was held at the astonishing studio of artist Hunt Slonem. Nearly 100 guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails at the kickoff, as well as hearing Alumna Erika Turner (photo left) share how Point Foundation has helped her even after graduating from college. Thank you to Mr. Slonem, Richard Ziegelasch, the Point Honors Honorary Co-Chairs and Host Committee, and liquor sponsor Grey Goose for making the kickoff a success.

Congratulations Graduates! Congratulations to our Point Scholars who graduated at the end of 2013. Maggie Keenan-Bolger graduated with an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College. Jake Rostovsky graduated with a BS in Psychology from American Jewish University.

NBA’s Jason Collins to be Honored at Leadership Conference The 2014 Scholar & Alumni Leadership Conference (SALC) will take place July 24-27, at the Revere Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. The SALC planning committee is excited about the opportunities that come with moving the conference to a new city. As well as looking forward to a full conference schedule, we are delighted to honor Jason Collins, the first openly gay player in the National Basketball Association, at the Point Leadership Dinner on July 25 in Boston.
