My Last Vision of You
Written and Illlustrated by Candice Phelan
Clouds hang in the sky dying my view with lavender hues and giving me visions of a rose-colored pink A view I haven't seen since last spring since I saw my last vision of you But the spring blossoms came with lots of rain and knocked over all my pink hyacinth blossoms and with them my last mementos of you The week has been dreary and so have I living off my last vision of you So I fill my tea with lavender honey and I read and I sleep and I worry and I see lavender purple hues and pink vestiges A common sight that now only reminds me of times past as I reminisce about my last visions of you
