crews arrived just four minutes later at the fully-engulfed, single-wide mobile home - just off the intersection of Prairie Ridge Drive East and 147th Street East - they located a deceased male inside the burning structure. Two others sustained life-threatening injuries and were quickly transported by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The victim was later identified as 83-year-old Robert Reeder. Two teenagers were stabbed and a third landed in jail Saturday afternoon, the result of a brawl arranged through social media. It was shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday when multiple 911 calls were received by emergency dispatchers. Witnesses told of the pre-arranged fight, which turned into a stabbing, in the vicinity of Kibler Avenue and Lorraine Street in Enumclaw. Police responded and found two victims, one 18 and one 16. The suspect had fled the scene. The 18-year-old was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with injuries that were considered lifethreatening, according to an EPD press release. The 16-year-old was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw, treated and released. EPD Capt. Bob Huebler said the two 18-year-olds had agreed to fight, using social media to identify a time and place to meet. When the fight turned into a stabbing, the 16-year-old got involved and suffered

A pair of dramatic fires rattled Plateau communities late last week – one for the loss of life and another for the damage done to a small-town institution. Flames were doused, the smoke cleared and, in both instances, investigations were quickly concluded.
