Ticket promotions encourage shop local campaigns The Central and North Whidbey business communities are enticing residents to shop local with a chance to win big. Sponsored by the newly formed Oak Harbor Main Street Association, 22 Oak Harbor businesses, most of them in historic downtown, are participating in a $1,000 Green Ticket Cash Giveaway. For every $20 spent at participating stores and restaurants, one green ticket is earned for a chance to win $1,000 during a drawing at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19 at Old Town Mall. The participating businesses, identified by green tickets in their windows, are: Baby N Me, Casual House, Collage, Fantasia, Flyers Restaurant and Brewery, Frasers Gourmet Hideaway, Garry Oak Gallery, Hot Rock Pizza, Island Paint & Glass, Just Because, Oak Tree Antiques, Paint Your World, Popsies, Red’s Boutique, Rustica, Skagit Cycle, the Jewelry Gallery, Whidbey Inspirations, Whidbey Wild Bird and Wind & Tide Bookshop.
