KITSAP — Harrison Medical Center provided a preview of what its expanded Silverdale campus might look like, and also indicated its plans for a downtown Bremerton campus, during a presentation to the Central Kitsap Community Council Nov. 19. Jim Alvarez, executive director, support services for Harrison Medical Center, said Harrison was finished with the “concept” design, which called for the Silverdale campus to be flexible and efficient and a “reset” of how healthcare in Kitsap was delivered, with modernized facilities for both the hospital and for ambulatory care. Belfair man killed in four-vehicle Gorst crash BY CHRIS TUCKER

GORST — A 71-year-old Belfair man was killed and two other people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on State Route 16 Nov. 19. Andrew David Tobler, 30, of Fircrest, who allegedly caused the crash, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide. According to Kitsap County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Chad Enright, Tobler was released pending further investigation. According to a Washington State Patrol report, Tobler was driving a white 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck south on State Route 3 in Gorst at 5:21 a.m. and was transitioning to eastbound State Route 16. At that time, a 71-year-old Belfair motorist pulled out of the Gorst 76 gas station in his blue 2004 Kia Rio. Tobler allegedly rear-ended the Kia, causing the Kia to lose control, cross the center median and travel into oncoming westbound traffic. The Kia

BREMERTON — Haselwood Auto Group will acquire Parr Auto Group by the end of the year. Haselwood, a leading new- and used-car dealer on the Kitsap Peninsula announced a definitive acquisition agreement with Parr Auto Group, a new- and used-car auto group in Bremerton. Haselwood currently operates five dealerships with 11 manufacturer brands. Parr operates two dealerships, representing four manufacturer brands. Those brands — Ford, Mazda, Hyundai and Volkswagen — will now come under the Haselwood umbrella. After the transaction closes — scheduled to be complete by the end of December 2015 — the former Parr dealerships will be known as West Hills Ford Mazda and Haselwood Volkswagen Hyundai.
