Ballots due Feb. 10
Special election ballots for the Sequim School District’s construction bond and the Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center (SARC) levy are due Feb. 10. A drop box is located in Sequim Village Shopping Center, near the City of Sequim’s utility payment drop box in the JCPenney parking lot. Port Angeles also has two ballot drop boxes at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St. Curbside ballot drop boxes close promptly at 8 p.m. on Election Day. The Feb. 11 edition of the Sequim Gazette will feature results for both measures. As of Monday, Feb. 2, voters in Clallam County’s elections have returned 14,141 out of 45,156 registered voters — about 31.3 percent. Animal control suggests new policies for ‘unadoptable’ dogs
Within only two days of approval to transition from a mutual to a stockholderowned bank, shares of First Federal stock were on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the trading symbol FNWB on Jan. 30. “As a mutual there are voting interests, but no ownership interest,” First Federal president and Chief Executive Officer Larry Hueth said. “This gives us the opportunity to create more HUETH banks and expand into different markets. Clallam humane society director plans proposal for late February
Clallam County Animal Control recently revealed its findings in a voluntary investigation at the shelter for these dogs that have been sectioned off from the general public.
