There were two separate collisions in the Sequim area on Saturday, Oct. 11. The first wreck, at 1:21 p.m. leaves Mindy Aisling, 35, and her son Noah Carlson, 11, in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center as of Tuesday afternoon. The Washington State Patrol reports Ronald Wilcox, 59, of Port Angeles, allegedly swerved over the center line on U.S. Highway 101 to avoid stopped traffic trying to turn left near Louella Road. His 2007 GMC truck collided head-on in the eastbound lane with a 2013 Toyota Prius driven by Logan Aisling, 45. Logan was treated and released at Olympic Medical Center the same day but Mindy and Noah were flown to Harborview. Wilcox was not injured but his passenger, Cori Wilcox, 14, was injured and transported to OMC and released the same day. Washington State Patrol is investigating vehicular assault charges against Wilcox because allegedly drugs or alcohol were involved. The road was closed for two hours and 20 minutes.
