dark brown eyes. The other person was a thin-build teenager, 5 feet, 2 inches tall, also with dark brown eyes. A call to Forks Police Administrator Rick Bart on Monday morning revealed no new leads in the case. Bart did say that a routine traffic stop had led to a search warrant at a West End residence where a large amount of stolen items were recovered. Although it was not believed to be related to the Native to Twilight case he was not sure if it may lead to a connection. Bart said they had received a few tips and are looking at suspects. Anyone with information on the robbery and assault is asked to call the Forks Police Department at 360-3742223. Another incident on the “A Road” on Sunday evening, was described as an armed assault, brought out the Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol and several officers from the Forks Police Department. It was reported that the suspect in that assault was arrested by county law enforcement early Monday evening in Port Hadlock.

In addition to store owner Anna Matsche’s $500 initial reward others in the community have pledged money to the fund. Str8 Jacket T’s, Peak 6 Tours, Dan Anderson of West End Motors and Richard Lohneis, Matsche’s landlord, have all offered to give to the fund. Matsche also is receiving a lot of emotional support as community members are shocked by such a brutal attack. The store employee is recovering at home and her identity has not been made public. During the course of the robbery, the employee had her life threatened and was slashed with a knife, knocked to the ground and kicked before the robbers left the store with about $1,400 from the cash register. The robbers were described as an adult with a large build and standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall with broad shoulders, shoulder-length black hair visible under the ski mask and
