The marijuana moratorium in Bonney Lake has an expiration date of May 4. The Bonney Lake City Council passed ordinance 1468 on Oct. 22, 2013 and it went into Marijuana effect on Nov. News 4. The council discussed the ordinance at the workshop on April 1. “The discussion centered around whether to ban (marijuana) outright or determine allowable zoning districts,” City Administrator Don Morrison said.

Dahlquist, R-Enumclaw, announced she is challenging Sen. Pam Roach, also a Republican, for the 31st District Senate seat. Dahlquist was elected twice to the House and served on the Enumclaw School District Board of Directors prior to running for the House seat. Roach, who is from
Auburn, stated she will be seeking a seventh term for her seat. Jonathon Dunn, D-Lake Tapps, registered with the Public Disclosure Commission to run for the Senate seat against Roach, but switched to Dahlquist’s House seat following her decision to run for the Senate.
