PORT ORCHARD — Rep. Drew Hansen and retired Coast Guard captain James Olsen advanced to the Nov. 6 general

election Tuesday in the race for 23rd District state representative, position 2. At 8:15 p.m. Tuesday with 18,318 votes counted, the County Elections Office reported Hansen led the field with 9,494 votes, followed by Olsen, 7,456; and political newcomer Henning B. PORT ORCHARD — As Jennifer Forbes hangs on the edge of winning the primary

outright, the certification for Kitsap County Superior Court judge, Court 7 is too close to call. The results wil be certified Aug. 21. Port Gamble Bay diver remains in ICU By KIPP ROBERTSON

LITTLE BOSTON — A 46-yearold man remains in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center, after being pulled from the water unconscious from in Port Gamble Bay Tuesday. According to Harborview spokeswoman Susan Gregg, the man is on life support, not breathing on his own. “He’s pretty sick,” she said. The incident followed “an apparent diving mishap,” according to North Kitsap Fire & Rescue spokeswoman Michele Laboda. The man was airlifted via Airlift Northwest helicopter from Bainbridge Island. KINGSTON — So far, so good for the Port of Kingston’s maintenance dredge application. The port met with several agencies at the end of July as a “pre-application” meeting, Port Manager Kori Henry said. “It went really, really well,” Henry said.
