LOS ANGELES – Proponents have revived a petition to rename a portion of a major thoroughfare in the Historic Filipinotown in Los Angeles to Larry Itliong Boulevard to honor the great Filipino labor leader. But instead of a portion Temple Avenue being renamed to Larry
Itliong Avenue, they are now seeking the renaming of Beverly Boulevard, from the intersection at Glendale Avenue in the east to Virgil Avenue in the west. Beverly Blvd. and Temple Ave. are the major roads traversing the Historic Filipinotown. The Rotary Club of Historic Filipinotown (RC HiFi) and the Media and Business Club (MBC), both led by Fernandico Q.
