MANILA/SAN FRANCISCO – It appears there could be a return bout in the May 9, 2022 national elections for Vice President Leonor “Leni” Robredo and former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. The possibility surfaced following the dismissal by the Supreme Court, acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, of Marcos election protest against Robredo nearly five years after it was filed in 2016. In his protest, Marcos claimed he was cheated in the May VP Leni Lobredo and former Senator Bongbong Marcos 2016 election allegedly marred with fraud for vice president but Robredo, a lawyer and former congresswoman of Camarines Sur, Page 9 denied it and stood her ground.
