inister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, finally appeared before the House of Representatives Committee investigating the controversial purchase of bulletproof BMW cars at the sum of N225 million by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), where she vehemently defended the NCAA’s action, saying the agency did no wrong. Oduah, who appeared before the committee after several summons by the House of Representatives Aviation Committee probing the scandal, also told the lawmakers that she never ordered the NCAA to purchase the cars for her personal use. According to the minister, the cars were purchased for use by very important personalities (VIPs), both local and foreign. The minister, in her statements, denounced the earlier defence put up by the coordinating spokesperson of aviation agencies, Yakubu Dati as well as her Special Adviser on Media, Joe Obi, for the purchase of the cars.
