VIPERT has increased flexibility and relaxed memory, so installers will experience less spring-back. The tubing is pliable, allowing it to be bent to the shape you want and remain in that position. In extreme cold outdoor temperatures, the pipe maintains its flexibility. This makes the tubing very easy to use. VIPERT offers superior hydrostatic strength at high temperatures and burst pressures that far surpass required industry standards. VIPERT is also very versatile, as it is compatible with all PEX fittings systems, including cold expansion, push-fittings, and crimp fittings. Perhaps the most unique trait of PE-RT is that it can be recycled. No PEX can be recycled, due to the additives required for cross-linking, but PE-RT is a more pure material which does not require cross-linking in its manufacturing process in order to create very high quality tubing. This means that installers can put scrap material in the recycling bin and keep it out of land-fills. PE-RT also requires less energy to be produced, creating a smaller environmental footprint. PE-RT has been successful in Europe for many years, but it took longer to bring PE-RT to the North American market due to the higher chlorine content in the water. PE-RT resin was re-designed by the experts at Dow Chemical to meet this challenge, and the result was a stronger material that still allows great flexibility and recyclability. CB Supplies was founded in 1962 in Burnaby, BC and started manufacturing PEX in 1999 under the Vanguard Pipe & Fittings brand, which was later amalgamated into CB Supplies. The Big Moves

In November 2015, CB Supplies moved from three rented buildings in Burnaby, BC into a new 126,500 sq. ft., purpose built, state-ofthe-art manufacturing facility in Surrey BC. This move put manufacturing, distribution, and the head office under one roof, with the potential to triple manufacturing capacity. This facility will be the cornerstone of the business for years to come. In 2016 CB Supplies’ Calgary branch was relocated across the street from a 14,000 sq. ft. unit to a new 28,000 sq. ft. warehouse. This enabled an increase in stock levels to better serve the Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Thunder Bay, ON markets. In January 2020 CB Supplies moved

its Mississauga, Ontario branch from a 43,000 sq. ft. warehouse to an 81,000 sq. ft. custom-built facility. This significant upgrade provides ample room to grow in Canada’s largest market and serves as a hub for the other warehouses across the country. Most recently, in November 2020, CB Supplies moved its branch in Laval, QC into a brand-new 20,000 sq. ft facility in Bois-desFilion, QC.
