Nice Going Feµas Prior to Halloween this column carried .a challenge to the youngsters who turned over the bus stop at corner of Parlt Avenue and Sales Road, We appealed to the young boys to go back and set the covered shed back in its proper place so ·that kind old ladies and mothers with their young babies wouldn't have to wait in the .rain for the bt1s to come along. Last week one night, a young lad came by' and told us that the boys went bad:: and put the shed where it belonged. We admire the spirit of these boys; we appreciate their attitude. This writer joins the. many bus passe1igers who .board the bus at that point and uEe the .shed for a waiting place in saying thanks to these boys. vVe figured that down deep you were a ·bunch of swell fellows. When next Halloween rolls around, let's leave the shed alone. vVhat .do you say, fellas? Wanted: A Good Home "I have one•· mother long~ haired cat and four kittens three months old. We would like to find a good home for them. The mother is a very good ratter"-so writes .Mrs. Robert Hartman of Spana.way. If you want to get the cat and kittens, ·go and see Mrs. Hartman ·at East 8th Street in Spana way. Carpenter Becoxru;s Carpenter Mrs. Roy Carpenter, living in the Oberlies apartment in Parkland, finds that all she lacks to be a "real" carpenter is a hammer. So she goes to her · up stair neighbors and borrows same to pnt up some shades and shelves. Where's the Target Where is the Target lt's focated in Spanaway Just exactly 'where Will be told today. We hav.e had so many comments on the Target Advertising and so many phone ca-lls inquir~ ing about the whereabouts. of the place that we had to make some mention of it here. As yet, the l)lace has not opened. It is in Spanaway. For additional details, keep reading The Pointer. A Busy :place Mrs. Jennie Palmer, the Parkland real estate lady,.· who is responsible for bringing many people out to this area, busy at work in her new location in the Selle building, telling a prospective bnyer about the many advant.ages of the South End. W; Cooper of the Parkland Methodist Church for his wonderful and. timely poenr on Thanksgiving: We thank Thee, Heavenly Father, for the seed, sunshine a11d rain; For the farmer and the laborer who, harvest the golden grain; For the lniller and the bal<er who make it info food; The merchant. and the railroadman who brings it over the road; For all the workers .who toil our good things to produce, Poems . and pictures of beauty, inventfons and tools to use, For clothing to warm the body., and houses to shelter the head; We remember. the workers, 0 Father, as we eat of our daily bread. As the Carpenter of Nazareth gave up His life for men, In love, labor and sacrifice, and blessing to little children, May we gladly give unto others the life we owe to Thee, · Rcmemberi11g the words of the Master, "Ye did. it unto Me.'' May. we not eat bread in idleness, nor grind the face of the poor, May we help~thc sick and weary, and the hungry at our door, Knowing that all are children of our Father in h e ave n above, May we by. work, play and kindness, build .. np His Kingdom of Love.
