May Meeting -Thursday, May 4 . Hipp hi pp hurra ! Troy Storfjell to speak at May meeting! Dr. Troy Storfjell will be the speaker at our May 4 meeting. He will be speaking on the history of Constitution Day (Syttende Mai - the 17th of May}, a national celebration in Norway. After his presentation, he will answer questions from the audience. If you already have questions about Constitution Day, or if you want more information after you hear his presentation, this is your opportunity to ask! Troy Storfjell, PhD (Sarni} is the Interim Chair of the Scandinavian Area Studies Program and Associate Profe ssor of Norwegian and Scandinavian Studies at Pacific Lutheran University.

June Program - William F. Lincoln: "Meandering through My Life as a Mediator" Bill Lincoln, the 2006 Greater Tacoma Peace Prize Laureate, will be our guest speaker at our June 1 meeting. He will relate stories from his decades of work as an international mediator and negotiator. His professional experiences include: direct intervention in riots within adult correctional institutions, public school desegregation crisis, Native American affairs, environmental disputes, and internal corporate affairs. Bill has been asked to also share information with us about the Greater Tacoma Peace Prize.

Bill is currently the Executive Director of the Lincoln Institute. He provides conflict analysis and instruction and coaching in preparation for negotiations or mediated negotiations. He is adjunct faculty at the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, VA, and at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
