EDUCATING ALBERTANS ABOUT THE LAW AND LEGAL SYSTEM SINCE 2001!

The Portage College Public Legal Education (PLE) Program offers free workshops, webinars, and information sessions to help people in Alberta understand the law, the legal system, and the resources available to them.

Our programming aims to support Albertans in their ability to navigate legal systems that may affect their lives. All this is made possible by grant funding from the Alberta Law Foundation.

Topics we cover:

• Aboriginal Law & Indigenous Rights

• Criminal Law

• Going to Court (Court Processes)

• Employment Law

• Family Law

• Human Rights Law

• Wills and Estates

• Youth Criminal Law

We welcome opportunities to deliver workshops in communities in our service area. If you have an idea for a legal or justice related workshop in your classroom, organization or community, please get in touch. We can help you coordinate an event and most are free!
