Duncan-WilliamsJoel Nii Tackie-Yarboisorse OseiCV Heward-MillsJoshua Titi-OfeiKevinSix months after the debut of his maiden album, Judah Nii Amaa Ollennu, Director of Music at the Pleasant Place Church, has been in the limelight glorifying God through and preaching the gospel through his songs Minister Judah who has been singing in church since 1992 at the age of 14, finally launched his professional music career in March this year at the Christ Square of the Pleasant Place Church, Accra.
In the last few months, he has mounted big stages across the continent to perform his soul touching gospel songs to a teeming congregant who received his spirit-filled songs to draw closer to God.
A personification of unwavering conviction in one’s God-given talent and shrewdness, Judah is a staunch adherer to the “my time will come, but I have to wait”
Borketey Bortey (ALABI), Judah is a descendant of Wulomoi. The Wulomoi are priests –servants of God. Traditionally the Ga people were a Theocracy ruled by Wulomei, according to thegadangme.com. He was, thus, to be a Wulomo—a stark departure from his beliefs.
“My grandfather was then the fetish priest of Nun gua…Nungua Wulomo. So, the thing runs in my line and at some point in time, my father started worry ing me, urging me to consider being the Nungua Wulomo,” Judah states during the interview in his office at Accra Business School.
He believes his mother’s separation from his father quite early during his childhood saved his soul for the Almighty God. He was about six years when the parents separated—the mother assuming the responsibility of bringing him and his two siblings up in the Christian way.
“I look at the things that are happening around…my paternal side and I ask myself where are all those gods that they claim we have in that family house? But the only God my mother introduced me to, every time I hear people mentioning His name…every time
He’s doing new things,” he says—a conscious awaken ing that will inspire one of the six songs he recorded live on March 6, 2022, at Pleasant Palace Church—titled Ancient of Days.
“…Because I have heard people mention some names of gods and before you know they fade out. But, since I was born, the God I came to meet my mother serving is still doing new things all the time and that inspired me to write that song,” he explains calmly with a fulfilling grin. Unearthing the musical genius
The year was 1992 and it began with these words spoken to him by Bishop Francis Afotey Odai. “I think there is something in you…I will help you bring it out. Come to church.” Judah was 14 years then after his O Levels.
A Presbyterian by his mother’s association with that church, Judah honoured the invitation extended to him by Bishop Francis Afotey Odai of the then Living Word Assemblies International, a charismatic church around Teshie, a suburb of Accra, Ghana’s capital now Marana tha Power Ministries International.
That was the time every youth was running away from the orthodox churches to the charismatic ones to have a feel of the drums, keyboards, bass guitars—things they didn’t get to experience at the orthodox churches and Judah was no exception. He excitedly joined the band wagon saying, “I thought it was very lively.”
Even though he knew instinctively that he could sing, he didn’t know he possessed the enviable ability for ministry. He was put in the church’s youth choir and during one of their session, the innocently lanky teenag er wowed the congregation with his soothingly amaz ing skills and mastery of the music.
Despite holding the solid belief that he was gifted, Judah, like the church, was overwhelmed by what he just did. “To my amazement, the church was…like ‘wow where has he been hiding’,” he recalls. The senior choir director decided following that display that Judah didn’t belong to the youth choir. “So, he picked me from the youth choir and fixed me in the senior choir… and even though I was tall, the robes were bigger than me. It was quite funny,” Judah says.
I have been in leadership education and practice for nearly three decades. Teaching leadership at MBA level and practicing and consulting both in the church and the market place, I have been directly or indirectly involved in the training of over 30, 000 leaders. I have read hundreds of leadership books, articles and journals; I have studied hundreds of leadership definitions;
I am a lifelong leadership student yet the more I learn about leadership, the more I realise that leadership is much more than leadership. Having studied, practiced and taught leadership all my adult life, it is my considered opinion that it is impossible to define leadership in a phrase, a sentence, or a paragraph. I believe leadership is better described than defined.
So for me, leadership is not a word; it is a 10-letter acronym (L.E.A.D.E.R.S.H.I.P).

I believe that success is making complex things simple that is why you will see an attempt by me to simplify what leadership really is.
Leadership is LISTENING
Proverbs 1:5 NIV says, let the wise listen and add to their learning
Most leaders have ideas to discuss, instructions to give, information to share andintelligence to surprise followers. However, great leaders know that leadership is not talk, talk, talk but listen, listen, listen. Listening is one of the most effective ways leaders learn new ideas and get more infor mation. Listening provides information for strate gic decision making, intelligence for tactical positioning, insight for wise choices and instruc tions for direction.
In leadership, listening is the capacity to entertain all shades of opinions without prejudice, the ability to critically examine each opinion objectively and the wisdom to apply the information acquired to
your advantage. Listening leaders pay attention to people. They make time to hear their Concerns, Com plaints, Comments, Criticisms, Concepts, Convictions, and Conversations.
People may have worries and anxieties about your leadership style, decisions, job security in the organisa tion etc. Good leaders are concerned about the concerns of their followers. People may have worries and anxieties about your leadership style, decisions, job security in the organisation etc. Good leaders are concerned about their followers and they listen to their concerns and address them in the best possible ways.
Dissatisfaction can lead to less productivity and grum bling among followers. Listening leaders hear com plaints and deal with them competently.
Opinions are like onions; they burn like fire but favour the discourse, which is why listening leaders listen to all shades, shapes and sizes of opinions. They then use them to form strategic opinions.
Listening leaders listen to diver gent views and critical analyses of their leadership. For them, criticism is an
important feedback on their performance. Instead of getting bitter, they use the information gathered from their critics to get better.
One of the major keys to success in leadership is to be surrounded by Ideas people. Listening leaders build a team of ideas people around and use their innovative ideas to get better.
Some people are strong about their beliefs and will not budge. Leaders need negotiation skills and a big heart to relate with such followers.
Some people just want to talk about everything in general but nothing in particular .Listening leaders must make time to talk to those who want to talk. Through such conversations, they may learn new things.
Proverbs 18:13 (NIV) “To answer before listening-- that is folly and shame”
A few years ago, there was a very pressing issue confronting the Charismatic movement in Ghana. A quick meeting was scheduled by a number of clergy men to strategize a response. At the meeting, every one tried to provide a response to the crisis; however, I observed during the deliberations that the chairman of the meeting listened and sought for clarifications only occasionally. After hours of deliberations without finding an appropriate response, the chairman now asked to be heard and his response was gold. He observed, listened, sought clarifications and provided a smart answer.
Proverbs 15:1 (NIV) says, “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger” Gentle answers are smart answers aimed at avoiding strife and contention. When people, for whatever reason, are bent on engaging in confrontations, listen ing leaders calm them down with gentle answers.
It is leadership to patiently listen to people no matter how provocative they may sound. Engaging in argu ments with people is not a sign of leadership. Under stand them- that is why you are a leader and help them to manage whatever is eating them up.
Proverbs 16:1( NIV) says, To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the proper answer of the tongue.
A proper answer from a listening leader is measured to suit the person, the place and the situation.
Proverbs 24:26 (NIV) says, An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.”
Listening leaders are truthful and sincere with their answers. It takes courage to be truthful especially if the truth will hurt you or someone else but lying is the worst option. A leader who is seen to be sincere and honest earns the trust and respect of followers.
Proverbs 22:21 (NIV) says, “Teaching true and reliable words, so that you can give sound answers to him who sent Soundyou?”answers are based on sound judgments. Listening leaders give answers that are satisfying in the long run.
Proverbs 26:16 (NIV) says,“The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who give discreet answers.”
Listening leaders are tactful and circumspect in giving answers. They weigh their words before uttering them.
Proverbs 15:28 (NIV) says,“The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes Listeningevil.”leaders
ponder a lot before they give answers. They weigh the effect of their answers on people before giving them.
Proverbs 15:22 (NLT) says,“Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success”.
When the Lord told me and my wife to plant a church on the Spintex Road in Accra, we spoke to over fifteen tried and tested senior ministers of the gospel. Their counsel helped us to avoid costly mistakes. They have survived the turbulent waters of ministry; therefore, listening to their experiences was enlightening. Speaking to people who have successfully converted experience into knowledge is the greatest key to success in every leadership endeavour.
Proverbs 16:24 (NKJV) says, “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the Onebones.”of
the greatest needs of leaders is encourage ment. Your admirers are your encouragers. They are the people who celebrate your achievements and appreciate your impact on their lives.
It took me a long time to learn that the greatest weapon of your adversaries lies on their tongues. Their
words betray their thoughts. When talking to a perceived adversary, talk less and listen more for out of the abundance of their hearts, their mouths speak.
Luke 6:45 (NIV) says, “… and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”
1 Samuel 16:14 -17 (NIV) says,[14]Now the Spirit of the LORD had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD tormented him.[15]Saul’s attendants said to him, “See, an evil spirit from God is tormenting you. [16] Let our lord com mand his servants here to search for someone who can play the lyre. He will play when the evil spirit from God comes on you, and you will feel better.” [17] So Saul said to his attendants, “Find someone who plays well and bring him to me.”
Sometimes, great ideas do not come from the great people around you who are on fat pay cheques but from the ordinary people who receive less attention from you; the drivers, the security men, the cleaners and your domestic staff. They have access to the grapevine and control information that can aid in strategic decision making.
Sometimes, when you become successful with out education, you tend to look down on the impact of academic information. You will soon notice that at a certain level of success, you will need some amount of academic information to survive.
Listening to achievers helps you to understand their mind-set. The mind-set of an achiever indicates that type of information stored in his or her mind which determines his or her under standing and which also determines his or her undertakings.
Listening leaders are men and women under authority. They obey instructions from those they submit to. They obey the rules set and respect the authorities who set them.
Matthew 8:5-9 (NIV) says,[5] When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. [6] “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, sufering terribly.” [7] Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?” [8] Te centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. [9] For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” 2 Timothy 2:15 The term "rightly dividing," in the scripture above refers to "cutting straight," is drawn from the regulations for Old Testament sacrifices. In the Old Testament, the animal was divided into three halves when someone brought a sacrifice for sin. A portion was given to God. The person who delivered the offering received a second portion. The priest received the third piece. This approach gave rise to the phrase "rightly dividing." To "give to each that which belongs to him" is what it means. It's crucial to correctly divide God's Word when studying it. This calls for you to be aware of who is being addressed. The message must also be correctly applied and understood.
You must learn to accurately divide the Word of God in order to understand its original meaning. The word "interpretation" also implies to give something the appropriate meaning. You must understand how to interpret each Scripture correctly. Jesus made clear to the religious authorities of His day in Matthew 22:29 KJV “...Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures or the power of God.” In other to do this we will through this newsletter monthly learn, unlearn and relearn some basic ways to effectively diving the word of God in concurrence with the Holy Spirit.
A method is an organized way to accomplish something. It is an orderly plan. Bible study methods are an organized plan to study God's written Word. The word "innovative" means "having the ability to produce that which is new."
A method is an organized way to accomplish something. It is an orderly plan. Bible study methods are an organized plan to study God's written Word. The word "innovative" means "having the ability to produce that which is new." This course teaches you how to study God's Word for yourself. You will not have to rely on the research of others because you will be able to create your own Bible studies based on your study of God's written Word. You can use your understanding of effective Bible study techniques to communicate God's truths to a world that is spiritually yearning for SPIRITUAL TRUTH. You won't just repeat what other people are saying to you.
To be able to do an effective Bible study, you must understand some basic truth about the Bible. The word "Bible" means "the books." The Bible is one volume which consists of 66 separate books. The word "Scripture" is also used to refer to God's Word. This word comes from a Latin word which means "writing." When the word "Scripture" is used with a capital "S" it means the sacred writings of the one true God. The word "Bible" is not used in the Bible. It is a word selected by men as a title for all of God's Words. The words in the Bible were written by about 40 different persons under His inspiration. Over a period of 1500 years, these men authored. One indication that these writers were all directed by a single author is the complete conformity of their works. God was the author. Some of the authors recorded what God said verbatim (Jeremiah 36:2). Other authors described their own experiences or what God had revealed about the future (Revelation 1:19).
In II Timothy 3:16-17, the Bible itself records its main purpose: (All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works.) The Scriptures are to be used to teach doctrine, to reprove and correct from evil, and to teach righteousness. They will help you live right and equip you to work for God.
“And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse Jesusgeneration...”described our generation as a perverse generation. A generation that acts contrary to what the Word of God teaches.
Our generation is so perverse that the word of God no longer forms the foundation of our decisions and actions. From the pulpit to homes, from offices to the market places, from schools to recreational centres perverts have twisted the Word of God to suit their whims and caprices.
In books, films and advertisements you find perver sion. The television, radio and newspapers are all full of perversion. Perverse behaviours are now considered normal. Pornography, homosexuality, lesbianism, adultery, polygamy, etc. are all celebrat ed in our generation.
In a perverse generation like ours, teachings on the sanctity of marriage, family, pre-marital relation ships, salvation, prosperity and holiness have all been perverted. As a result of this phenomenon, finding Godly men and women who fear God and shun evil in the Church to marry have become a horrendous task for the few who have not soiled their clothes.
Saul's daughter Michal, however, fell in love with David, and when Saul heard of this, he was pleased. He said to himself, "I'll give Michal to David; I will use her to trap him, and he will be killed by the Philis tines." So for the second time Saul said to David, "You will be my son-in-law."
Saul attempted to trap David by offering Michal to him as a wife. Remember it was this Michal that criticised David for dancing before the Lord. Michal is the exact representation of present day perverts, the men and women who neither fear God nor love Him and are masquerading as Christians in the Church with the aim of trapping God’s children into Evenmarriages.atthe
highest level in the 21st Century Church, there are perverts masquerading as apos 2tles.Corinthians
11: 13-14 (NIV)
For such men are false apostles, deceitful work
men, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
Please note that the Apostle Paul was not referring to witches and wizards in this letter to the Church in Corinth. Rather, he was writing about supposed Christians in the Corinth Church. My motivation for choosing to address this topic is to prevent you from falling into the hands of such perverts in the Church as a life partner.
It is with the aim of achieving this noble objective that I present to you the 7 Wisdom keys to Choos ing a Godly life partner.
Abraham’s oldest servant (Eliezer of Damacus) who was tasked with the horrendous task of finding a wife for no less a person than the promised seed (Isaac) shows a perfect example of the role of prayer in finding a Godly life partner. His task was so sensi tive because finding the wrong wife could have derailed God’s divine plan for Isaac as the offspring of
Abraham was now very old, and the LORD had blessed him in everything he did. He said to his oldest servant, who was in charge of all that he had, "Place your hand between my thighs and make a vowI want you to make a vow in the name of the LORD, the God of heaven and earth, that you will not choose a wife for my son from the people here in Canaan. You must go back to the country where I was born and get a wife for my son Isaac from among my relatives." But the servant asked, "What if the young woman will not leave home to come with me to this land? Shall I send your son back to the land you came from?" Abraham answered, "Make sure that you don't send my son back there! The LORD, the God of heaven, brought me from the home of my father and from the land of my relatives, and he solemnly promised me that he would give this land to my descendants. He will send his angel before you, so that you can get a wife there for my son. If the young woman is not willing to come with you, you will be free from this promise. But you must not under any circumstanc es take my son back there." So the servant put his hand between the thighs of Abraham, his master, and made a vow to do what Abraham had asked.
The servant, who was in charge of Abraham's prop erty, took ten of his master's camels and went to the city where Nahor had lived in northern Meso
arrived, he made the camels kneel down at the well outside the city. It was late afternoon, the time when women came out to get water. He prayed, “LORD, God of my master Abraham, give me success today and keep your promise to my master. Here I am at the well where the young women of the city will be coming to get water. I will say to one of them, 'Please, lower your jar and let me have a drink.' If she says, 'Drink, and I will also bring water for your camels,' may she be the one that you have chosen for your servant Isaac. If this happens, I will know that you have kept your prom ise to my master." Before he had finished praying, Rebecca arrived with a water jar on her shoulder.
She was the daughter of Bethuel, who was the son of Abraham's brother Nahor and his wife Milcah. She was a very beautiful young woman and still a
virgin. She went down to the well, filled her jar, and came back. The servant ran to meet her and said, "Please give me a drink of water from your jar." She said, "Drink, sir," and quickly lowered her jar from her shoulder and held it while he drank. When he had finished, she said, "I will also bring water for your camels and let them have all they want." She quickly emptied her jar into the animals' drinking trough and ran to the well to get more water, until she had watered all his camels. The man kept watching her in silence, to see if the LORD had given him success. When she had finished, the man took an expensive gold ring and put it in her nose and put two large gold bracelets on her arms.
He said, "Please tell me who your father is. Is there room in his house for my men and me to spend the night?" "My father is Bethuel son of Nahor and Milcah," she answered. "There is plenty of straw and fodder at our house, and there is a place for you to stay." Then the man knelt down and worshiped the LORD. He said, "Praise the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has faithfully kept his prom ise to my master. The LORD has led me straight to my master's relatives."
Abraham’s oldest servant shows us a very good example of the place of prayer in finding a godly life partner. I have deliberately bolded certain portions of the above scripture just to catch your attention.
Firstly, the servant had wealth. He went with ten camels, but did not allow the wealth to choose a wife for Isaac. Instead, he prayed. It is important not to use your wealth to influence someone to marry you, because like they say, “Money can buy you a woman but not a wife and a man but not a
he did not wait for women to start coming to the well before praying. He prayed ahead. His mind, heart and spirit were opened to hear from God. The Prayer was genuine. Having someone in mind before praying, serves as a wall that prevents you from hearing from God. So start praying now whiles you have no one in mind.
Thirdly, he asked God for a woman of good charac ter. He requested for a kind hearted woman who was ready to attend to and serve a stranger. He did not ask God for a beautiful woman but for a woman with a noble character. It is funny the sort of life partners people ask God for - virgins, successful people, a handsome man, a beautiful woman, etc. Fourthly, he had a genuine motive and so God answered his prayer.
James 4:3 (GNB)
And when you ask, you do not receive it, because your motives are bad; you ask for things to use for your own pleasures.
Weigh your motives before you pray.

The continent of Africa is endowed with natural mineral resources, notable among them are gold, diamond, bauxite, manganese, Phosphate, Plati num, Cobalt etc. In the abundance of the natural resources, the continent is bedeviled with poverty, hunger and underdevelopment.
In fact, it defies logic and common sense that a continent blessed with so much resource is strug gling to take care of its citizens.
Interestingly, the fact is that, Africa’s underdevelop ment is by design and for us to develop, we must understand that design, deconstruct the design and strategically and speedily re-think new economic model capable of stimulating our devel opment agenda.
This calls for strong, visionary, dedicated and selfless leadership, more importantly political leadership. We, the citizens have equal role to play by making sure we elect the right people into public office.
We must not support political party because we like it, instead, we must support political parties because it has the right people, with the right mindsets to drive the development agenda of the continent.
The leadership of the Africa Union must reflect on why its peers are interested in the continent. The answer, indeed, is obvious. It is due to its rich natural resources and its growing young population. They wanted the continent to be their market base, where all their final outputs could be sold.
It is against this background that, in recent years, there is so much focus on international summits between the advanced economies and Africa. Thus, China-Africa Summit, India-Africa Summit, Russia-Africa Summit, Singapore-Africa Summit and Turkey-Africa Summit.
I am not in any way suggesting bilateral and multi lateral partnerships are not necessary. My
ered view, therefore, is that Africa must look within and as a matter of urgency start adding value to its rich natural resources, create its own competitive markets and equally so must develop its human capital capable of driving technology and innova tion, thereby addressing the challenges confront ing us.
I strongly believe that, the only way for Africa to rise up to the occasion is to intensify economic integra
Africa Continental Free Trade Area is a critical vehicle to propel the economic integration agenda. In my candid opinion, the process is quite slow, and therefore, there is the need to speedily ignite its implementation process. I only trust that the invisi ble hands of global forces will not cripple the legs of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area.
It is refreshing to state that the COVID-19 pandemic really had devastating impacts on the global econ omy as well as African economies.
However, it equally offers the continent an opportu

nity to re-think its economic model in areas of investments, finance, health and education.
The leadership of the Africa Union, by now, should be thinking about how to quickly mobilize resourc es into the development of a vaccine. My respectful view is that, it will be difficult for a single economy to pursue that agenda, although possible. Pursuing it as a continental project will aid in raising funds as quickly as possible.
There is the need also a competitive edge in respect of value addition of mineral resources. In fact, we need to move from a primary economy to industri alized economy thereby creating shared-growth. This can be achieved by promoting industri al-based and value addition economy.

Our most persistent thoughts often influence what we say about ourselves and consequently determine our life outcome. What we say we attract. So if you want to become great you must learn to speak greatness into your life. Our thoughts are the seeds that birth our words; just as our words birth our lives.
I couldn’t agree more with Dr Eric Thomas, the Hip-hop Preacher who believes “The two most powerful words in the English language are ‘I am’ because what comes after ‘I am’ will shape your life. What you speak after ‘I am’; what you believe after ‘I am’ will control your decisions and shape your life. If you believe you are powerful; if you believe you are capable of achieving great things, you’ll attain great things. If you speak into your life resilience and determination to overcome anything, you’ll be ready to face and overcome
‘I AM’, translated from the Hebrew ‘YAHWEH’, is the personal name of God and means LORD or ‘I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE’. This name God told Moses would be His Eternal name for all genera tions and wants to be known by. Perhaps this is what gives the words ‘I am’ such creative powers to birth in us whatever we say after those words.
The next time you utter those potent words, be sure of what you want in life and let only what you want follow those words. For me, I Am a Powerful Creator; I Am Limitless; I Am Diligent; I Am Abundant; I Am Success ful; I Am Steadfast; I Am Indomitable; I Am Strong; I Am Powerful; I Am a Millionaire; I Am Healthy; I Am Inspired; I Am Full Of Life; I Am Disciplined; I Am an Inspiration to many Generations; I Am a Great Son; I Am a Great Husband; I Am a Great Father; I Am Meant to Fly; I Am Godlike; I Am a Dream Weaver; I Am a Human Engineer; I Am Blessed and Unstoppable! WHO ARE YOU?
From this day forward, determine to alter the trajectory of your life by altering what you say after ‘I Am’. You were sourced from I AM. You were made in the Image and Likeness of I AM THAT I AM. You are no different
from the value of your source. You are as valuable as the God from whom you were sourced.
For the Bible says “You made them only a little lower than God (Elohim) and crowned them with glory and honour.” (Psalm 8:5NLT). If the Bible says you are ‘only a little lower than God’, then you are indeed only a little lower than Elohim and the real difference between Elohim and you is volume not substance. If the differ ence between the sea itself and a cup of water from the sea is volume but not their chemical properties then, your potential and capability can only be determined by the potential and capability of your source –I AM THAT I AM. Elohim is immeasurably more than we are but we are of the same substance as He!
Speak life, speak health, speak wealth into your life because a poor mouth births a poor life.
WTBS: “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” Proverbs 18:21

Hi, welcome to motivation vitamins, your daily dose of high performance ideas. I’ll be sharing with you 14 practical definitions of wisdom. Let’s begin
Most of us have been to school before and one of the things you must follow in school is your time table. Your time table tells you what to do and what you should expect daily. It regulates your behaviour, choices and many more in your life. So when you wake up in the morning, you look at your time table, you may have philosophy in the morning and another subject project management in the afternoon, what you do is that you prepare for those subjects because the time table is telling you what to do.
If you don’t follow your time table, you may get into the lecture hall and realise that you have come with the wrong books to the lecture hall and you are not well prepared for the day. That is how life is. Life is like going to school, the most important thing in your life is your time table. Your time table is the capacity to understand the times, your ability to know what to do at every point in your life.
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:1, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”. You see, time is the passing of the minutes, passing of the seconds, passing of the hours, days, weeks, months and years. Time is always in motion but anytime you have the opportunity to get up again and face the world, make sure you maximise every second that you have.
When you allow time to pass, you lose a lot of things. Sometimes you don’t know the value of time until you lose it. When you have time, it’s very cheap but when you lose it, it becomes very expensive for you to get back.
There are three (3) groups of people who are reading this; those who are doing yesterday’s things today, those who are doing today’s things today and those who are doing tomorrow’s things today.
Those doing yesterday’s things today are those who have really wasted time and are trying to catch up. What they should have done ten (10) years ago, they are now doing it. They need urgency in life.
Those who are doing today’s things today are those who are on time but everybody who is on time is an average person. Those who move our world and those who make the front pages are those who do tomorrow’s things
you to understand that very soon, the time you have will become a season where people will begin to judge you based on the number of years that have passed and they expect a certain achievement in your life for the number of years you have lived. If you cannot show an achievement, you are deemed a failure.
I pray for you that will redeem the time, that you will understand the times that you have and that you will use time very well.
God bless you for reading this. I will come your way again with another dose of high performance ideas.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night. (Psalms 1:2)
God made your physical body so you must have food daily in order to remain healthy. In a similar manner, your spirit must be fed daily with the food of the Word of God if you are to be spiritually healthy:
. . . It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God. (Luke 4:4)
Start by reading the "milk" of the word. These are the simple truths of the Word of God: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word that ye may grow thereby. (I Peter 2:2)
Later you will mature spiritually to where you can eat "meat" of the Word of God. This means you will be able to understand more difficult teachings of the Bible:
For everyone that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:13-14) I have fed you with milk, and not with meat; for hitherto ye were not able to bear it . . . (I Corinthians 3:2)
For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord. (Ezra 7:10)
Before you start to read, pray to God and ask Him to help you understand the message He has given you through His written Word. Let your prayer be as the Psalmist David prayed:
Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. (Psalms 119:18)
Some people do not understand God's Word because they do not have a systematic plan for reading. They read a chapter here and there and fail to understand how it all fits together. This is like reading a few pages here and there in a text book on medicine and then trying to set up a medical practice. The Bible tells us to "search the scriptures" (John 5:39). This means to study them carefully. The Bible is like a text book used in school. You must read it in an orderly way if you are to understand its content.
Select one of the following reading schedules and begin reading your Bible daily.
1-Year Plan. It is important to understand the fullness of God's message to the churches, and a great way of doing this is reading the Old and New Testaments simultaneously. This plan, which can be completed in one calendar year, does just that. Readings from both Testaments are included from the beginning and although each reading does not contain both Testaments, the two are read effectively.
