GREEN SPACE SYDNEY PARK.

A 103-acre recreational area, Sydney Park is a haven for inner-city dwellers (and their canine friends).

The third largest park in inner-city Sydney it combines a large open green space, distinctive hills, 360-degree views over the city, a children’s playground and bicycle track, wetlands, a sports oval, sculptures, and heritage areas featuring the former brickworks.

Winner of a 2020 Architizer A+ Award, The Sydney Park Water Re-Use Project comprises of a chain of ponds and wetlands that circulate through the park. Not only is this a beautiful environment to be in but the water system is practical. The water scheme diverts around 850 megalitres of storm-water for treatment and re-use every year. The award-winning design also preserves native animal habitats – the wetlands now boast the highest population of native bird species in the local area.
