ACTIVITIES Traditional Breakfast After breakfast our guests visit a sheep stockyard, where they find out about their breeding, their reproduction, and techniques that the local stockbreeders use and combine with the new technology and the traditional ways of stockbreeding. They continue by visiting the Local Agricultural Association of Metaggitsi, which produces the famous extra virgin bio olive (Elaiolado Galano) , presenting the valuable characteristics of their products and their unique quality. ACTIVITIES Traditional homemade breakfast Visiting Arnaia, the traditional, colourful town with the outstanding architecture. The guests visit the local cheese factory of Karagiannis, taste local varieties and learn how the cheese is being produced. The winery of Claudia Papagianni, offers a magnificent wine tasting in the atmospheric cellar, presenting labels awarded in Greece and abroad from local, ancient and newest vine varieties. Strolling around the village, mansions and traditional houses are being revealed, the Folklore and Weaving Museums, and the unique in Greece church, St Stephan, since its glass floor reveals ancient findings of an ancient temple. ACTIVITIES After the homemade breakfast, set off to Ouranoupoli. The ships travel for the southwestern side of Mount Athos- a unique sea journey of 3 hours, viewing the huge, imposing Byzantine monasteries. Returning to Ouranoupoli, a walk in the village will reveal Athonite products and the Tower of Prosforios, the best reserved Byzantine Tower in Halkidiki with a precious story. Some kilometeres away, the land borders of Mount Athos, the Zigou Monastery, an ancient monastery, visitable from women as well.
