TOMÁS SARACENO / KOSMISKE TRÅDE
Måske er en gigantisk kunstinstallation ikke det første, du forventer at opleve, når du besøger Planetarium. KOSMISKE TRÅDE udfordrer vores opfattelse af liv og eksistens på Jorden og i rummet. Med sanselighed og æstetik beriger kunstværket vores forståelse af universet, og føjer nye dimensioner til, at mennesket er en del af noget større.
Tomás Saraceno er verdenskendt for sine spektakulære værker. Saraceno har skabt en kompleks megainstallation, helt unikt til Planetarium. Værket byder på en magisk fusion af kunst, videnskab og teknologi og strækker sig i det ikoniske Trappegalleris fulde højde på 25 meter og længde på 42 meter.
KOSMISKE TRÅDE er første etape i realiseringen af en samlet udstilling om rumfart og rumteknologi: RUMMET T/R. Anden etape forventes realiseret i første kvartal 2025. Med Rummet T/R ønsker vi at udfolde krydsfeltet mellem kunst og videnskab for at gøre det ubegribelige og abstrakte både visuelt og sanseligt. Kunsten skaber et udvidet sprog for videnskaben og lægger nye dimensioner til formidlingen af Planetariums fagfelt, som udover astronomi og rumfart også rummer nogle af livets helt store spørgsmål som hvordan opstod der liv, er der liv andre steder og hvad er meningen med livet?

Saraceno dig til at reflektere over universets gåder i forhold til vores fælles fremtid på Jorden.

Perhaps a gigantic art installation is not the first thing you expect to see when you visit Planetarium. COSMIC THREADS challenges our perception of life and existence on Earth and in space. With sensuality and aesthetics the artwork enriches our understanding of the universe and adds new dimensions to the fact that humans are part of something bigger.
Tomás Saraceno is worldrenowned for his spectacular artworks. Saraceno has created a complex megainstallation, uniquely designed for Planetarium. The artwork offers a magical fusion of art, science, and technology, spanning the iconic Stair Gallery's full height of 25 meters and a length of 42 meters.
COSMIC THREADS is the first stage in realizing a comprehensive exhibition on space travel and space technology: TO SPACE AND BACK. The second stage is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025. With TO SPACE AND BACK, we aim to explore the intersection of art and science to make the incomprehensible and abstract both visual and sensory. Art creates an expanded language for science and adds new dimensions to the communication of Planetarium’s field of expertise, which, in addition to astronomy and space travel, also encompasses some of life’s big questions, such as how life originated, whether there is life else
where, and what the meaning of life is. With COSMIC THREADS, Saraceno invites you to reflect on the mysteries of the universe and our common future on Earth.
Take your child, partner, husband, wife, or friend by the hand and explore the enchanting artwork. Move through and around the beautiful 33 separate artworks that make up the megainstallation via the many steps in the Stair Gallery. Try to find all 33 artworks. Tick the boxes.
